My last Tamarac bag was the size down from this and it was 16 years old. To be honest it was still in perfect working order. That bag went around the world and has no rips, broken zippers or any issues. Thats why I bought this bag. I needed just a little more room to carry my Ipad mini. If your wondering it fits in the very front pocket. The mini is in a ballistic case so the screen is protected. In all very happy with this bag. I dont like to carry over stuffed bags that you have to unpack to get to my gear. Its all in nice fit and easy to get to with ample room for extra stuff when you need to bring it along.

I bought this bag in 1987 and it has held up very well. I use to carry my Pentax ME super and six lenses with my tripod my other sundries for field work. Now I use it for my DSRL. I just did not think they still made this bag. i payed 50 dollars for it in 1987. I would still pay what is asked for it today.

This is the right bag for every-day use. I use it for carrying 1-2 analog bodies and 4-6 medium-big lenses. Before this one I used the 612 which was way too big for dialy use. The 608 is smaller but fits all my equipment, it offers very good protection. I would definitely buy the 608 again. For longer travels I would go for a backpack.

• A real favorite of photojournalists, this compact bag is equipped to accommodate both digital and film SLRs. It features the Lens-Bridge and LensGate Divider Systems which cradle the cameras with lenses attached while the gates swing open to protect equipment from contacting each other. New Slide Pockets have the Memory & Battery Management System (patent pending) for quick access to memory cards, batteries and accessories. Red flags identify used memory and batteries.
• In front, a full-length ZipDrop pocket with an internal zippered mesh accessory pocket and paraphernalia pockets keeps personal items and small accessories organized. There are two Velcro closing, weather-flapped end pockets and a handy passport/ticket pocket in the back. Inside the top, a removable Pop-Off film pocket holds lots of film and accessories in easy view. With the EasyGrip carrying handle and Piggy-Back Pocket, this bag provides secure storage and quick access to the equipment required for most assignments.
