This was purchased after borrowing a friends bag more than a few times. I used his to take lighting equipment throughout the world on Planes, on trains, in taxis and in cars. In the studio it sits upright, taking very little room and ready to go with all the lighting I need to conduct (quite) a major shoot. Normally I have 4 monobloc type strobe heads, a tripod, 4 stands, cables, extension cables, gels, clips, clamps, clothes pegs, 2 large softboxes and maybe a couple of backgrounds. All in the one bag. Maybe this is why it weighs so much. However, the grip handle and trolley arm on the top and the two long straps over the body helps in manouvering all this weight. The wheels work like a dream and the telescopic handle allows me to fit my Tamrac photo messenger 9 bag over the top and keep it secure. Be careful with larger cases. This case JUST fits between the aisles on a UK train, so when you need to wheel it down the aisle in a rush - it fits. If I was to buy a larger case, I don't think that I would be able to lift it when full and certainly I would be refused going through airports both on the length and the weight. Additionally, this bag doesn't shout 'Camera Equiupment - Nick ME' it looks just like a suitcase (ish). Oh, and it fits in my car taking up less space than the alternative cases that used to house all this gear. Although softbodied this case should survive all that baggage handlers can throw at it. I have used a Tamrac strongbox 646 for almost 14 years made from similar materials and this is still going strong.

The Rolling Studio duffle is ideal for the mobile photographer who wants to take a tripod, a few lights, stands, umbrellas and a power pack. It is small enough to be very manageable yet large enough to accommodate tripods and stands up to 29 inches long. The handle telescopes inside the skids that protect the bottom of the duffle. This is the perfect system for traveling light and fast without compromising on equipment, organization or protection.
