Questions & Answers

Shopper : Will Nikon D 600 fit 70-300, 24-85 and 50 mm lenses?JASON M : Tell your customer to buy a Thinktank Streetwalker Pro. They'll be much happierYVONNE G : I have the Nikon D90 and with the 105 lens on the camera I can fit the 300 and the macro in the bottom portion of the bag
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?RICKY W : I used the Aero Speed Pack 80 before. Light weight is the main reason. The tripod is at the bottom of the bag making the cg close to you and low. Much better than mounting the center like most other bag. Also not affecting how you take camera out. One compliant is the laptop zipper, my first bag broke after my 6th trip. Hope this one last longer.

Good for International Travel

I use the bag for international photographic travel (nomadruss.com) The bag is great because I can keep my camera and laptop in one carry-on, and keep it all with me. The previous bag I had, without the laptop, did have a front zip compartment for carrying flash cards, etc. and I do miss that pocket with this version. Overall, it's a lot better than carrying one bag for a camera and another for a computer, this bag is good compilation.

Almost Perfect...almost

Used it for the first time as my airplane carry on with my Canon 7D, 24-105 lens mounted with hood, flash, MacBook and various accessories. In Hawaii used it on hikes to waterfalls and botanical gardens. It's construction and configuration are excellent. I would have liked to have a small outside zipper pocket for quick access to small items like a filter or cloth. There is a gripping material on the underside of the shoulder straps that I don't care for. I might try to cover that with something. The material on the back is rough enough to pull fibers from your shirt. The pack did make my back very hot as well but that may be true of all backpacks so I don't count that against the pack itself. All in all I am happy with it. I searched, purchased, returned and sold many backpacks during my search but this one is a keeper. Just don't think anyone makes the "perfect" backpack for my needs. So change the material on the undersides of the shoulder straps and the back, add that small outside zipper pocket and it really is a perfect 5 star product.

Held all my gear I traveled with

Great and dependable bag to transport your equipment.. It is padded quite well (camera and laptop compartment)so if any accidents were to happen I wouldn't have to worry unless the zip is opened Expect it to gain a little weight when you put your stuff into it but being comfortable compensates for that

The Aero Speed Pack 85 Dual Access Photo/Laptop Backpack is the perfect carrying solution for the photographer who prefers the comfort of a backpack, but doesn't want to sacrifice the ability to quickly and easily access photo gear. To accomplish this, Tamrac developed an innovative Dual Access System that allows fast access through the side door when the pack is worn over one shoulder.

Like a traditional photo backpack, equipment can also be accessed through the front panel with the pack is removed. This versatile backpack holds and protects a DSLR with a grip and lens attached (including most 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom lenses), 2-3 additional lenses and accessories. A separate, foam-padded laptop compartment holds most 17" screen laptops.

For weather protection, the side door is equipped with a water-resistant zipper while the front panel has a weather flap. Inside the side door, accessory pockets hold memory cards, lens caps and other accessories. In addition to the completely foam padded bottom compartment, the pack has a large top compartment perfect for personal items, such as a lunch or light jacket. An elasticized mesh side pocket provides convenient access to a water bottle.

The pack features a carrying handle and a comfortable, foam-padded backpack harness contoured to distribute the weight of the camera gear across the shoulders. Two lash tabs on the bottom allow a tripod to be carried (requires accessory straps, Model S-113, sold separately)
