Conclusion first, theTriangle Borea BR03 is a fantastic speaker, surpassing even my high expectations. Being under the belief that standmount, aka bookshelf, speakers are a compromise, I've had a strong preference for floor standing speakers. My current floor standers are Tekton Lores, which continue to set a high bar for their vibrancy and realism. I was hoping to approximate that in a speaker for my office, which is also a more nearfield listening experience. With the requirement for high sensitivity and a satisfying sense of realism, I narrowed down on the Triangle Borea BR03. I also own a pair of Klipsch RP-600Ms, which are very efficient and horn-loaded lively, but I needed to relocate them to another room. I thought the BR03 might be an interesting contrast. After a couple of weeks with BR03s and many hours logged so far, I am entirely enchanted with what these speakers can produce, exceeding the Klipsch pair and begging comparisons with my Lores. In short, this is high praise.

These are great speakers made by Triangle, the Borea BR03 and I am thrilled I bought them especially from Adorama . I have heard & auditioned at least eight other two way speakers all from different manufacturers in price ranges from 500 to $1500 a pair and this BR03 sounded best to me. This BR03 will be staying with me for a long time. Thank you to the nice folks at Adorama for the excellent service, fast shipping & the great price. It was worth it doing business with you. Dave

These speakers are relatively inexpensive so I didn't have very high expectations, but they sound great with a very full sound and a decent bit of bass. The front porting works well in my room, since I need to have them close to the wall. The magnetic detachable grille is a nice touch.

Speakers sound great! Tested them out with different genres (rock, jazz, classical) in both CD and vinyl. All sounded crisp, clear and with just enough bass. When I pumped up the bass, the sound was strong and remained just as clear. Perfect for a medium sized living room. Look is clean and exactly as appears in the photos. Easy to wire-up.

I never have had a loudspeaker with a horn loaded tweeter before and my 71 yr old ears tell me that I should have. Marvelous speakers in all the areas! Clarity of a great headphone. Nice bass and midrange! I'm really liking my new borea 03. Terrific!

Sound wise the stellar reviews are accurate. It does sound best with the speaker grill cloth in place. In appearance, such an inexpensive speaker must have a vinyl wrap, which up close is merely OK. I have the Oak/Green combo and the 'oak' looks more like walnut which is a bit of a disappointment. All in all I'm pleased.

These speakers are giant killers. They are astonishing. After picking up pieces of my jaw off the floor I have been in awe of their performance. I drive them with ease from my Class A (SET) 12 Watt Tube Amplifier and am rewarded with tight dynamic bass, a midrange to shed tears over, and a sweet lush top end. Super wide soundstage with pin point accuracy of every voice and instrument. Believe the hype and universal reviews. Couple them with an acoustical treated room and mana from heaven rains down!

These sound amazing. The vocals are pure and these are smoother than the Klipsch 600m II that I have. The Klipsch play louder at the same volume but I only paid 299.00 for the pair of Triangle. The Klipsch were twice the price.

I have a pair of both the KEF Q150s and KEF Q350s but these just have a more natural sound to them. I think the paper construction really makes a difference in providing that clear yet natural tonality. The KEFs certainly sound more clinical, like a HomePod, with quite authoritative bass to boot for a standmount. Personally I'd recommend the Triangle's for those primarily listening to music and the KEFs for action movies. The only caveat to this is if you have a larger room, then, I'd suggest the Triangle's given the larger size for its price point and if you don't have a subwoofer, then consider the KEFs given the slightly better bass.

These speakers present a very open and lively soundstage. They have tremendous detail and separation, and I?m hearing things in songs that I?ve missed on other speakers and headphones. They sound great out of the box. I?m using minor tone adjustments on my receiver, no complex equalization or sound modes are necessary. Some people feel they need a subwoofer, but that has not been my experience at all. They have tight, strong bass, much more than you would expect for their size. I would maybe use a subwoofer for a home theater setup for FX sounds, but for stereo music it?s not needed. Highs are also good and not fatiguing, and the mid range is just incredibly detailed. I highly recommend these.

I'm using the Borea BR03's with an old (2005) 100 watt Onkyo A/V receiver and a bluetooth-to-RCA adapter. I put this together to have a real stereo in a room that previously only had small, powered computer speakers. - Every other stereo system I've owned came with speakers which I never upgraded. And in every case the speakers were somewhat dull and lifeless without using equalizers and special sound modes. Not these. These speakers sound brilliant all on their own. I've added just a touch of bass and a smaller touch of treble using the receiver's tone controls, and consider that to be a listening preference as opposed to a need. - These have incredible detail, clarity, and separation of distinct sounds. I'm hearing things I've never heard before in songs I know well, or thought I knew well before now. These are also the first speakers where I can reliably differentiate between CDs and lossy bluetooth audio, something that surprised me. The setup still sounds great on bluetooth. But I will be searching for a lossless streaming solution, and also re-ripping some of my CDs which were originally encoded to a lossy file format. - These fill the room and present a very open soundstage. Again without any special processing modes any where in the chain (computer or receiver). - They sound great with everything I throw at them. Rock, jazz, orchestras, musicals. They do especially well with the latter two. - Other reviewers mention needing or wanting a subwoofer. I have the subwoofer which originally came with the receiver. I've tried a range of music with the subwoofer active and inactive, and with different crossover frequencies and subwoofer output levels. I don't know if it's the particular receiver I'm using, or the fact that I've added a touch of overall bass at the receiver, but I do not feel like the BR03's need a subwoofer at all. They have surprisingly strong bass given their size. I'm leaving it hooked up in case I find a piece where I do enjoy adding it in as it's only a couple button clicks to activate/deactivate. But at this point I'm simply not using it. I think a subwoofer would make more sense for someone using BR03's in a home theater setup where it can help with rumbling special effects like explosions. - Magnetic speaker grills are a nice touch. I'm not sure what else to say. These speakers are simply excellent, and are the best speakers I've personally ever owned.

Amazing for the price. As well as the other comments regarding music, I can now watch movies and hear everything with clarity. I have a 6 channel setup with the Triangle matching center channel and a HSU Research subwoofer (check them out). The sound is soooo balanced.
