Extremely familiar with the brand since the late nineties...Owned then the Titus and Hexa models. Currently own the Borea 2 (absolutely the best choice under $500),Elara (unbelievable powered monitors) and now the Genese Trio...(nothing can touch it under $2,000). That horn tweeter is sublime,bass,presence ,soundstage,musicality and dynamics top notch ! At this price,it's a steal...! Please allow at least 50/75 hours playing time,before engaging in some serious auditions...you'll be rewarded ! Also own 3 different Kef models,Elac and vintage Ohm 3's ...! Trio earned,by far,the most playing time. My compliments to Adorama and it's outstanding customer service(Thanks,Kurt)! Enthusiastic and aggressive approach,backed up by occasional irresistible deals...! Imported my Trios to Canada,and,after taxes and duties,still managed to save enough to upgrade my speaker cables ! Kudos to you Adorama !

The fit and finish here is very well done. They have a modern, sophisticated styling that wont be for everyone, but I appreciate it. They are not the fastest, or most accurate speakers I’ve ever heard, but what they are is very enjoyable. Strong bass, and smooth but lively highs do a great job of bringing the performance into your room without being overly aggressive or shouty. If you’re looking for a very enjoyable, fairly refined and engaging listening experience these might be for you.

Great soundstage (wide and tall), dead-on center imaging, not overly warm yet with plenty of detail and can easily identify each instrument, can play them reasonably loud and you may not need a subwoofer. The Trios have great tone for pianos and electric and acoustic guitars. The Trios replaced my highly regarded Joseph Audio RM7Si Signature MkIIs. I demoed the Buchardt S400s (mellower sound but no sparkle) and the Tekton Lore Reference Be (great natural sound and layering but too big for my room at 12' x 13'), the Trios won the shootout for their overall performance and cool looks.

Really great speakers. When paired with the proper gear, the results are amazing. I hear a very lively, yet warm presentation. I also hear details that I missed before. This is my last speaker upgrade.

I’ll start off by saying that speakers are good, but there are some drawbacks. For a good review look up the channel ZeroFidelity on YouTube, everything he says about these is accurate, but he left out one critical thing. These speakers cannot handle loud volumes. The driver just cannot do it. When pushed too hard you will hear air escape from around the phase plug in the midrange driver, and it’s very audible. It didn’t happen all the time, but It was more pronounced on electronic music, or anything with a lot going on below 60hz. A high pass filter would likely fix this, however my amp doesn’t support that. In the end I had to send them back. If you don’t listen at loud volumes though, or are in a small room, these will be great.
