This versatile device offers six different recording apps, each tailored to specific recording needs. The Manual app is perfect for multi-track recording of up to six audio sources and a stereo mix. The Voice app is designed for capturing interviews, dictation, and meetings, while the Podcast app is perfect for creating podcasts with up to four people. The Music app is ideal for capturing instrumental and vocal performances, and the Field app is perfect for recording nature sounds outdoors. The ASMR app changes the screen visual effect in response to the input sound.
The Portacapture X6 features a large 2.4-inch color touchscreen with an intuitive, app-like operation. This easy-to-navigate interface allows you to quickly access your settings and adjustments, ensuring you're always just a few taps away from the perfect setting for your needs.
Designed with video production in mind, the Portacapture X6 simplifies your workflow with presets and user settings. Its 96 kHz/32-bit float recording technology ensures the highest quality audio and a dynamic range that can handle any shooting conditions. With the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter, you can even sync your audio with your video via timecode.
The Portacapture X6 is ready to record with just a few quick taps. Its internal high-quality stereo microphones can be rotated from A-B to a true X-Y mic pattern for dialogue or spatial music recording. If you have your own mics, you can plug them into the two included XLR inputs, which can also handle line level sources. The mic preamplifiers are Tascam HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture), ensuring ultra-low noise and clean, transparent audio.
The Portacapture X6's 32-bit floating point recording technology ensures that your recording can capture everything from the quietest rustle to the loudest spectacle. With the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth adapter and the free Portacapture Control app, you can even control your X6 wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet.
The Portacapture X6 also features built-in signal processing, including a compressor, limiter, high-pass filter, EQ, and reverb, adding that studio polish to your audio.
