Works well and it's a reasonable value
I like that the response to the button pushes on the remote is just as quick as if you used the buttons on the DR-40 itself. If you need a remote for live performances (to eliminate fumbling noises for example) this will get the job done and it's priced reasonably low. Note that the DR-40 wakes up and shuts off when you push its Home/Stop button, but the Stop button on the remote does not wake up or shut off the recorder.
