Use it to carry the Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 USM Lens, which fits fine. A quality, well made, good looking case.

Solution for quick access and secure in/out of pouch was perfect. It even held my 100-500 with tripod cleat in place.

Just as described. I almost wanted it to be a li'l bit larger to help accommodate me shoving my 2x extender inside. But, roomier means more area for the originally intended lens to shuffle about and perhaps get damaged. So, carabiner clip said extender case to one of the numerous outlets ? boom. Mission accomplished. The green color is cool, too.

Perfect for my Canon 100-400 with ample padding. I like the green so I can find it in my gear. Wish it also came in other colors to differentiate lenses.

I'm a photographer so I don't actually use the gear I buy. I just save it in a big pile and rummage through it before I go on a photo trip. I have 2 or 3 of everything because I have too much stuff to keep track of. I bought this because I could see my using this tube instead of a shoulder bag if I'm only going out for a sunset or minor excursion. Still, for day trips for portrait shoots I need my backpack for lenses flashes batteries etc, then the bag with lights and reflectors

I like this lens case overall. I'm using it with a Tamron 100-400mm full frame zoom lens. It looks like there might be room inside for the lens mount if I decide to purchase that later. The only complaint I have is with the padding. I would like more padding build into the case for my expensive lens. I had a padded wrap that I put the lens in before putting it in the case so I'm covered but I wish that the case had more padding built in or (more desirable) a padded sleeve that could be removed if not wanted.

There are so many options available for a lens case, but this one rules. For quality, finish, convenience, weight, and durability Think Tank's Duo has no peer. I could not be more satisfied with my purchase of these cases.

This is a very smart design with two ways to access the lens and two carry options. Fits my newest Nikon Z 70-200 f.8 VR S lens perfectly even with the foot attached.

Think Tank Lens Case Duo 40 Dual Opening Protective Lens Case fIts my mirrorless X-mount 100-400 lens just perfectly. The extra outside compartment holds a harness too. Excellent, well made product that holds this large lens firmly with easy accessibility.

I like to take 1-2 hour photo walks along the Missouri river and the various lakes near Bismarck ND. My sling bag is perfect for my basic Fuji X-H1 and lens but bringing along the 100-400 created a problem it was too big to fit in the sling bag with the camera and too expensive to carry in just a cloth wrap. This is the ideal answer I can carry it attached to the outside of the sling bag or attached to my photo beltand know it is protected and still readily available.

Perfect for my Olympus 40-150 with the 1.4 extender. Think Tank quality as always. None of their products have ever let me down and I am a pro and demand a lot

So I'm probably not using this the same way most people do, because I shoot with Olympus Micro 4/3 gear. But the M.Zuiko 40-150mm PRO lens fits in here nicely along with a 2x Teleconverter, either attached or unattached in a small case. This is the perfect carrier for that combo. And yes, this case is built like a large armored assault vehicle on rolling treads.

These bags are great for putting a lens into a normal backpack rather than a camera bag. Worked very well with fair protection!

When searching for a carrying and storage solution for my Fuji 100-400mm I found many cases that were close but would require either a sacrifice in quality, a snug fit, or too loose of a fit. Finally I read a review about the Think Tank Lens Case Duo 40 and thought that I would give it a try. I own several Think Tank products so I knew that the quality would be top notch. To my pleasure, the case is a perfect match for my 100-400mm! I store the lens with the hood reversed and the tripod foot in place. Just the right amount of room, meaning not too tight and yet not too loose so that the lens would flop around. It seems like it was made for that lens! If I had to nitpick I would say that it could slightly more padding but it has never been an issue for me. It is a perfect solution!

I often take a large rucksack when wild camping. My camera and lens fit nicely in a padded insert but I really needed a lens case for my Sigma 100-400 and adaptor when it wasn't attached to the camera. The Duo 40 is an excellent bit of kit and means I can be secure in the knowledge the lens is protected from other camping gear. The side pockets are great for a lens cloth and the end caps which I used to lose on a regular basis. I even use the Duo to store my sleeping mat inside when the lens is on the camera freeing up extra space.

Im thinking of getting a bunch of them so when I store all my gear from the long haul flights … an extra feeling of security. I’m pre-tsa clear… but just on the off chance I have to open my bag =D

++ Perfect size for a EF 100-400 with lens hood and tripod foot attached ++ great dual opening concept – For a heavy lens, the loop for the shoulder strap does not seem very durable – Padding material is a bit thin – Although the plush interior is soft, the material is a perfect dirt trap and not easy to clean In my opinion, a mixture of “F-Stop Lens Barrel Large” regarding to padding/attachment system/stability and the “LENS CASE DUO 40” regarding to size and concept would be the perfect solution for a lens case
