Review Summary

The bag is nice. The Sling 10 is just big enough for say a standard DSLR with a 24-70, a smaller lens, and possibly something like a 135mm. The issue I'm concerned about is when I sling the bag to my side to open one of the sides, I notice that the opposite side zipper doesn't close all the way, so I'm worried that the zipper could open and contents drop out of the side facing the ground.

The quality of materials and use design is GREAT but when loading my Nikon D750 with 24-12Omm or 70-300mm attached and with another lens in the bag when slung to front of body it is somewhat frustrating getting it to zip closed due to camera and lens weight

This camera bag is like a magician's hat. I keep putting stuff into it and surprising my wife when I pull the items out. I was looking for a bag that would hold one body, several lenses and always-carry accessories, like batteries, filters, and a flash. Something bigger than a Nomatix-McKinnon sling but not such a large backpack that it attracts attention walking into a museum. Something durable enough for back-country hiking but sophisticated enough for urban tourism. I especially wanted a bag that would allow me to keep a telephoto zoom lens on my camera when I put it away while walking between shots. (I'm keen on birds and wildlife.) The Urban Access 10 Sling bag checked all my boxes. Here is what I have stowed in mine: Main compartment: Canon EOS RP body with RF 100mm-400mm zoom lens attached + RF 2x Extender Canon RF 24mm-105mm zoom lens Canon RF 16mm prime lens (inside cinch bag for 2x extender) Haida 67mm Clear Night Filter + 43mm step-up ring Haida 82mm PROII CPL-VND 2 in 1 Filter + 67mm step-up ring Canon battery charger caps for lenses and extender Sunpak Auto 244 Flash Exterior zip pockets: Canon LP-E17 batteries (3) SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Cards (2) Xenvo Bluetooth remote cigar-size flashlight Microfiber lens cloth and Zeiss wipes Gusseted Pocket Neewer Carbon Fiber Gimbal XILETU 240mm Multi-functional Long Quick Release Plate Set (The gimbal goes on my monopod, which I carry separately. It is a customized K&F removable tripod leg with a 14" AgimbalGear Carbon Fiber Extension Pole and a Robus SBM-001 Stabilizing Base.) I ignored the "swings both ways" aspect of this bag, and set it up to stow my camera upright with the 100-400 lens + extender attached, using a bit more than half the bag vertically. I used one gray hook and loop divider up top for the 24-105 lens. This space under the top of the bag is large enough I can put the 100-400 lens there when I swap them. (I often carry an RF 600mm zoom in a separate LowePro lens exchange shoulder bag and can swap the 100-400 lens there when needed.) Whenever I need the 16mm wide angle lens, I swap the telephoto extender back into its pouch. I bent the other gray hook and loop divider into a right angle and attached it about halfway down. This gives me two "trapdoors," through which I can access the accessories. I added some hook and loop fasteners to the blue dividers that come with the bag to keep them from opening when I flip the bag over. I've also used elastic hook and loop bands to secure everything so nothing falls out even with a zippered flap is open. I have not traveled much with this bag yet, so I can't verify durability, but the fabric and construction seem plenty sturdy. I would suggest that Think Tank relocate the rubber logo from the pocket flap. The flap is made to tuck inside the gusseted pocket so bigger items, like a tripod, can stick out. Stuffing my gimbal parts into the pocket is already damaging the logo. For most photographers, no single bag can handle all of their needs. That's true for me. But the Urban Access Sling 10 occupies a sweet spot that spans more of my needs in a compact form factor than any other bag I've seen.

This is my third and last attempt at trying to find a solid, functional day pack to carry a few items once I'm at my location. I've used it a few times now and I'm hooked.

Ive been searching for the "perfect" sling for my dslr and a few lenses...everything i found was either too small or too large. I shoot with a 6D mk2 and 24-70 f2, but like to have my 85mm and a 75-300 along with me. Add in a few batteries etc... this bag fits all this kit perfectly! Super comfy to carry on a hike or just walking; easy to swing around, open the side and access camera and lenses . I waited months for this model to come back available (was out of stock everywhere), which tells you I'm not the only one who thinks its awesome. The quality is tops, and the attention to detail is amazing...just really smart, well thought out design. Honestly would have paid more...its that good.

Well made bag that holds my camera with lens and another two lenses without being bulky. It fits comfortably over my should and sling feature is convenient for changing a lens without taking the bag off - just slide it around to the front.

I took a little while to write this review because I wanted to be sure of the bag. And I?d honestly have to say that I wasn?t expecting anything different out of it than any other bag. But I was wrong. This thing is tough, made extremely well, cleans well (I do TONS of beach sessions so sand gets everywhere and it easily wipes off), comfortable to carry, easy to load and unload and holds everything I need it to. I am thrilled and happily surprised as I?m usually a ?bargain shopper? but I closed my eyes and splurged on this. Lol. Very pleased!

Comfortable and easy to use bad. I wanted it for a Nikon Z7ii with a lens (24-2000 on it and an additional lens (14-240. They will fit in but they are really snug. It would be better with shorter in length primes. I tend to use my Think Tank Street Walker as it offers more space , but lacks the partitioning.

Great bag. I would like a way to secularly fasten in the stackable lenses. If you take one on then flip the bag the lens becomes loose and moves around more than I like. I agree that a hook an loop on both sides can be annoying to.

Very well thought out bag. Everything screams quality. It is good looking but not attention grabbing. Being able to sling on either shoulder is an amazing feature, my shoulders are thanking you.

I tote big, heavy stabilized binoculars and an A7R2 and a water bottle. The strap is wide and comfy, and easily swaps sides. The bag is very sturdy but not heavy. It's the bag I use most often now.

This is a stylish and beautifully designed backpack that can be used as an everyday bag, and packs some serious photography storage while looking stylish and being super comfortable. The beautiful heather gray material is durable and weather resistant, and the bag is fully featured, including a seam sealed rain cover, removable waist straps, storage for a 15 inch laptop, and much more. I love the Urban Access 15 backpack, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect blend of style and the famous high quality features of thinktank bags!

The bag is well-constructed and easily fits my Nikon Z 6 with a lens attached plus 1-2 additional lenses, depending on size. You can reposition the dividers to fit whatever gear you are carrying so everything stays snuggly in its place. My 10” iPad also fits nicely into the dedicated pocket. The magnetic latch on the front pocket is another nice touch. I’m very satisfied with this camera bag.

This sling bag is the “right size” I was able to fit my Nkion with a 300mm zoom (attached), 50mm, 24mm wide angle and 80mm all in this bag. I also had my tripod in the front pouch (held in place by a provided strap) still had room for my iPad and other essentials. Nice change from a 30l backpack I usually use. Great product!

Great experience walking and hiking with this bag. It balances the weight very well. It is so easy to switch sides of the neck and shoulder. The Pixel Pocket Rocket fits well with the Sling bag. Love Think Tank products.

I have been in search of the perfect sling bag and have a fair collection of them. My most recent one is a TurnStyle 20 which I used for a recent 2 week trip to Sicily but I also have a Photocross 10 that I used a lot during Mardi Grass last March. I think the new Urban Access is the perfect balance for me, I really love the fact you can carry it easily on either shoulder or across either shoulder and its a comfortable fit. The bag is also unusual in that you can access your gear from either side, in other words there is no "up" on this bag, access is equal. I usually carry a Nikon Z7 with both the 24-70 and 14-30 zooms along with a Nikon GPS, a spare battery case and of course my Secure Pixel Pocket Rocket. My only "warning" is that the model 10, which I have, holds all of the above listed gear and not much more, the interior is actually smaller than I expected looking at the photos, which in my case turned out to be enough. The bag it goes without saying really well made with all the usual great TT features.
