Quality, quality, quality! In addition, the layout is well thought out with room for so many additional items that may need to be taken on your excursion. You cannot go wrong when selecting any of thinkTANK's products.

This is my second retrospective bag. I also have the 5. I use this bag for my Fuji X body and assorted lenses. It is rugged enough to protect the equipment and has that old-time feel. Think Tank is my go-to source for bags. In the course of my career as a corporate photographer, I've owned most of the major brands. I find that Think Tank suits my needs the best.

This is my second retrospective bag, I now own the 5 and the 7. I use it with my Hasselblad 500 c/m camera and I've taken it everywhere from around the states to London, Prague, Vienna and Paris. These bags carry the camera with minimum strain but also allow quick access when I see a composition. I really like the luggage handle sleeve so transiting the airports is easy. The build quality is great and it wears like iron. Charlie in Virginia

Incredibly well thought out, and beautifully made. The attention to detail, ease of use and great looks make this easily my favorite camera bag ever. Fits a gripped 5D with 24-70 f/2.8 attached and has room for a 70-200 f/2.8 and 16-35. Or a gripped 5D and 4 fast primes. The design makes switching out primes on the go easy as the internal zipper flap can be velcro'd to the cover flap for one touch opening. It can also be zipped closed for added security and protection. I wish every product were made this thoughtfully and beautifully.

I like almost everything with this bag, except one; the velcro. It would be much nicer with something like Billingham or Onas solution for opening and closing.

Easily my favorite bag I've ever owned. It's perfect. The only thing I wish it had is a small set of loops on the bottom of the bag to accommodate webbing to hold a tripod. They did it with the Vision Series! But not on their flagship shoulder bag!? GIVE US TRIPOS LOOPS

This is my third Retrospective bag. It has everything I expect and need from a bag and the configuration is very versatile. I like it quite a lot.

I'm not going to admit I'm a ThinkTank fan boy, but I do own a few products. This Retrospective 7 V2.0 was just the perfect bag I needed to pair down my gear from my StreetWalker HardDrive to a simple carry configuration. My Nikon Z8, Nikkor 50 f/1.8S and Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8S all fit harmoniously inside. There's storage everywhere. The front pocket is great for the quick get to items and the zippered pocket behind it was perfect to secure my passport on my recent trip to Portugal. I really appreciated the luggage handle pass-through carrying the Retrospective from the curb to the airport gate or through city streets. And the rear zippered pocket was perfect for my iPad mini. Oh and we can't forget the water bottle pocket! Walking the streets not looking like a tourist and having quick access to my camera was a huge advantage over having to take my StreetWalker off my shoulders to get to my camera. Well done again ThinkTank!

This is almost the perfect bag for me. My main bag is the ThinkTank Airport International V3, in which I fit an insane amount of gear - two Nikon Z9s, a 14-24 (2.8), a 24-70 (2.8), a 70-200 (2.8), a 100-400 (4.5-5.6), a 50 (1.8), a 105 (2.8), an 8mm fisheye, an FTZ adapter, an SB700 and extra batteries, assorted cords, and at times a laptop and some of my "office stuff." I don't always want to carry it all from the car to where I have to work - like a press box, for example - but sometimes I want to carry a lens other than what I have on the bodies and it fits in the Retrospective 7, along with the "office stuff," without getting bounced around. When I don't carry an extra lens, I configure it for use it as an everyday briefcase and it is way easier to find things in it than digging around a messenger bag. It's roomy, has plenty of pockets and is built like something I would expect from Think Tank. I said "almost perfect" because the water bottle pocket is just a tad bit too narrow to fit the bottle I have carried with me for the past few years. I downsized, and still love the bag. Excellent job, Think Tank.

What an amazing amount of thought was put into this bag. The velcro 'silencer tabs' are genius! An enormous amount of gear can be placed and organized in the bag, perfect for everything but gripped-body cameras and long lenses. Well done!

Comfortable to carry and very spacious, has more containers than I can use. I am sure I will find ways to fill them up. Easy to pull my Leica SL2-S out of the bag with 24-70mm lens on, ready to shoot.

I wanted a bag that doesn't scream rob me I have expensive gear. I'm not a professional photographer I'm just an average consumer. I am just head over heals in love with the bag.

until now i have always been on track with my backpack. Now that use the retrospective 7 for my mirrorless equipment I can only say that I regret not having changed settings esrlier. The bag is well designed and of good quality. Furthermore it is a beauty. Even my wife loves it!! Cannot imagine ever using another bag !

Overall it's a nice bag that is laid out just fine. The zippered flap that I would call the security flap has a tough zipper to operate so I tucked it up inside the main flap and did not use it at all on a 9 day trip.

Excellent, I already had a Retrospective 30 bag and wanted a slightly smaller one for my D850 camera with its 24/70 2.8 zoom, that's why I ordered the Retrospective 7, they are, They are bags of excellent quality and with a very comfortable design ...

I've owned a Retrospective 5 (first version) for several years, and been very impressed by its features, durability and looks. It was great for day-trips, but when traveling, not not quite big enough. In particular, I needed a bag big enough to include my 10" tablet, which the 5 won't accommodate. So the Retrospective 7 v2.0 was first on my list to check out: just a bit bigger, with some upgrades from the original series. It really delivers. The very few irritations I had with the older bag are all addressed by v2.0. Of course, it fits my 10" tablet, and now there's plenty room for other items when traveling. Very satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this bag from Fixation for my new Fuji xt4 and a couple of lenses. Im flying Cattle-Class Ryanair to Oslo in a few days and besides the usual cabin bag they allow you an under seat bag. The 7 will fit under the seat nicely. Like all of us I don't like carrying too much but what I do in general carry is a couple of bodies. Id probably have a wide angle zoom on one and a telephoto zoom on the other. I can't bear faffing around changing lenses. It simply isn't practical. I don't really understand why bags aren't sold as such, and they don't need to be huge either. Anyway, for my underseat Retrospective 7 and only for travel Ive unmounted the lenses. XE2 and Xt4 bodies sit in the bottom of the bag. On top of this are lenses, an 18-55, a 90 F2, a 10-24 F4 and a 55-200. So, that's two bodies and four lenses. The joy of mirrorless! And there's still quite bit of room for some filters, chargers spare batteries etc. Remarkable.

The departure date for my first trip since COVID?s peak was approaching quickly. This was also my first trip since I switched camera brands. Some gear would be transported in my Think Tank Airport Security roller bag, but I also needed a shoulder bag to carry the rest of the new gear while traveling, and, importantly, to carry a body with telephoto attached for a hike-to-a-shot I had planned. Think Tank recommended the Retrospective 7 v2.0, but did not inspire confidence with how quickly they could ship it to me. Adriana had it in stock, and provided various shipping options. I ordered it from Adorama. After I ordered it, I wasn?t sure that I had ordered the best shipping option. I immediately reached out to Adorama?s customer service and mentioned my trip departure date. Yassy replied, and advised she upgraded the shipping. The Retrospective 7 v2.0 was received in time, and proved to be the perfect bag for the trip. Thanks to Adorama.

The bag is bigger than I expected and carries more than I thought. Like the Velcro flap system making it easy to access stuff yet keeps it secure. Really like the color and look. One of the best carry bags I have ever had,

I purchased the Retrospective 7 to use with my Z6. and the primary glass I carry with it on daily shoots. I carry the Nikkor Z 24-70 f2.8 S lens mounted, the 14-30 f4 S, and the 85 f1.8 S lens. I love this bag so much better than my version 1 Size 20 that I use when I was carrying my D700 and a 70-200 mounted. I like the zippered secondary flap. I like the way the storage is just a bit cleaner and easier to find things. I love the original but sometimes I had a tough time finding things in it. The new version is just a bit neater and better organized. Please do not make any more improvements. I cannot afford another new bag. My Retrospective 20 is just fine..... :) Yes the Think Tank bags are the best I have found. I have tried a bunch and some of them barely made it out of their shipping container. I know if I order a Thinktank Bag it will be a long time tool. I getting old enough to say it may be the last bag I buy... maybe....

I have a similar sized bag, a cheap canvas one from Amazon, but I upgraded to this as a keep-forever bag. The attention to detail is phenomenal! It seems as though the designers thought of almost everything! The only improvement I can think is for V3 would be built-in battery management, but I?ll be adding a couple battery storage pouches soon from Thinktank to perfect my setup.

Great size. Materiel feels like it will wear in nicely and show some character. Lots of storage for small items. Won't quite fit a body with a vertical grip. Used with a Fuji XT4 and ND, graduated and polarizing filters.
