This is a great bag. I have a Streetwalker HardDrive backpack, and I just got the Backlight 26L backpack too. I have a 180-600 Nikkor and wanted a separate bag for that, so it doesn't take up so much room in my backpack. I like to keep my Z8 camera body mounted on the lens. I wasn't sure this combo would fit in the 150 Holster but it just fits and works great. When I'm going out specifically to shoot wildlife, I can take just the camera and 180-600 and then a small bag with a few other lenses, or my backpack. I now have multiple options. I may also get the Digital Holster 20 for my camera with the 24-70 mounted. (I love my Think Tank gear! I have a Speed Racer 2.0 which I also love, but which is sadly discontinued so I make sure that doesn't get worn out. I use the Mirrorless Mover 10 and 20 for my Fuji X100V).

When I bought my most recent camera, a Canon R6ii, it fitted comfortably into my current holster with the 100-500 lens fitted. However, when I fitted the 1.4x extender something I didn't expect happened. Advertising said that the 100-500 lens would only operate in the range 300 to 500mm. Which in itself is fine. However what Canon didn't say is the lens did not collapse beyond the 300mm mark. That together with the extender fitted increased the length of the camera, lens and extender beyond what I expected. Very few camera holsters, allowing instant access to your camera, are on the market for such a long combination. Along came the ThinkTank Digital Holster 150 which fits the combination of the Canon R6Iii, 100-500 lens and 1.4x extender perfectly. It has small additional pockets for an SD card case. It also has a small pocket containing a rain sleeve. There are also elastic sleeves for water bottles, phones etc. Although it's quite large to carry, it's about the limit for a camera holster, I would recommend it for larger lens combinations.

I got this to use with Nikon Z9 with Z100-400 attached and a Z24-120 stashed below a divider or folded towel in the bottom. It is most frequently used when I take my other Z9 with the Z800mm stashed in the Nikon Z800 case that came with it and both then stowed in one of my Think Tank Retrospective Duffel 75's.

I shoot grandkid sports and use a Nikon D5 with a 500mm pf f5.6 lens for outside events. This holster will hold that camera with lens attached. I have Digital 40 V 2.0 holster that I have used for years at indoor events for a full frame camera with a 70-200 f2.8 lens attached. Now I can grab a holster and head to the game. GREAT PRODUCTS!

Excellent bag for a birder with a 150-600 lens. I have binoculars around my neck and reach for the 'ready to go camera' when needed. I use it on the Think Tank belt with a smaller bag for my 18-55 lens w/2x converter attached.

Well constructed and designed. Using it with an Olympus E-M1 Mark III and an Olympus 150-400 Pro lens. It's a bit tight lengthwise, but it protects the kit.

So to start with make no mistake that this is a great bag. It is worth buying for any SLR/DSLR with a long lens. Having said that it WiLL NOT hold a Nikon D850 + Sigma 150-600 Contemporary with the lens hood attached. Hood detached and reversed, it all fits great (with an inch to spare) But the stock ,hard, Sigma lens hood (attached) + lens + D850 stick about an inch out of the top of the bag. Sigh. Here is where a 1-2" zipper extension would be useful. Instead I have two solutions I plan to try: 1) Searching for a useful sized collapsable hood (really hard to find anything in. 95mm, or with the Sigma lock on hood mount. Someone could make and sell this and make $$$ 2) As a belt bag it works great for a quick "set-down" of the camera to free your hands. But since the bag cannot zip closed with camera fully assembled I may build a velcro-type or elastic-and-velcro strap from internal parts of other bags to stabilize the camera for a short stay, holster top open. This bag is also a neat vertical solution to carry a long-ish lens (in my case 105mm Nikkor macro + hard hood), attached to the camera body, and one other shorter lens under the provided "shelf." But hey Think Tank -- I'd even pay a little extra for a bag 1.5" longer.... just sayin'. Great bag anyway.

So let's be clear this is a great case, and the only thing that comes even close to fitting my Nikon D850 with Sigma (Contemporary) 150-600mm lens attached. BUT it is about an inch-and-a-half shy of handling this combo with original lens hood attached. You can reverse the hood, but once you have affixed the hood to the lens the camera body rides about 1.5" up out of the pouch. Am I going to return it? Nah. Its a great carry combo with a belt -- lens hood disassembled. It is still a very adequate place to temporarily set the body and long lens and long hood down for a moment. (I may find a padded velcro piece from some other case to see about a temporary tie-down with the top open.) I will also be looking for a collapsable hood that goes down to less than 1" or folds allll the way back over the lens. But the 95mm filter size on this is problematic, and I have not yet found a collapsable hood that will serve. SO: Is the Digital Holster 150 a "quick-draw" solution for this lens with this camera with lens hood on?. Alllllll-most. But not quite. Great bag? Yep. P.S. Note to ThinkTank: Just 1.5" guys. A little zipper extension coulda been perfection. Sigh.

This was the only bag I could find that fits my gripped Nikon D500 with my 500mm PF or Nikon 200-500 zoom mounted. With the PF I can also fold up a Blackrapid QD sling and store attached and on top. The quality and the design are both excellent. I mostly use the bag to store the outfit at home and in my car.

First of all, this bag is nearly perfect. Fits my Nikon D750 + Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens w/ shade beautifully. Easy to use & remove the camera in a pinch, comfortable to carry with the sling strap provided. The only thing I'd request is one more pocket since I plan to use it for longer trips and would like to pack additional items in it. Second of all I wanted to mention the Think Tank customer service. I had originally bought the Digital Holser 50 V2. It met *most* of the specs I had for the same camera/lens setup, just without the shade attached. I bought it because I did not know the 150 bag existed. Found out about the 150 after, and the Think Tank team allowed me to return the 50 V2 bag without tags (not used) so I could buy the 150. So grateful to them for that help! Will definitely look to Think Tank for future purchases as this was my first with them.

It is well constructed and the right size for my 300mm lens with a 1.4X extender and the camera. In fact, it was approximately one inch too big, but the bottom can be adjusted so that it fit snugly.

Having purchased many Think Tank products in the past, we assumed this would be a high quality camera case with great fabrics, great zippers, great design, great fit with my camera body/lens and we were not disappointed! I had purchased a Digital Holster 150 a while ago as a present for a friend and encountered a significant backorder period. This one was shipped immediately and the delivery was FAST and accurate! Thank you for having such a great product offering!

There's enough little pockets and slots that it ends up storing quite a lot. Overall it's a bit heavy but seems very sturdy and the strap is comfortable. A very well made product.

I love this! Perfect for transporting in my car. When going from from the car to shooting location, I wear it cross body and is very comfortable. It fits my Sony A-9 with grip with the Sony FE 200-600 G lens with hood reversed.

I have been looking for a sensible way of carrying to and using in the field, over hiking trails and the like, handholdable "long" lenses. A backpack can do this, but requires significant delay to get to equipment. I use the holster with the ThinkTank front-access harness -- not on a belt system that I often use along with this item as well. The belt system holds the flash, additional lenses, etc., but not "long" glass. This works well for a number of lenses; current primary body is a Nikon D850 with grip. It worked well with a Tamron 150-600 G2. However, because of my experience with Tamron service, I have switched to a Sigma 150-600 Sport changed to a Wimberley foot for that lens as well as a Heliopan 105 mm rubber hood (the Tamron had a Wimberley plate and a Promaster 95 mm rubber hood), and a clear multicoated lens protector filter is used. With the D850 as I use it, the combination with the Sigma lens will not allow the Holster 150 to zip closed at the top. I agree with another reviewer that TT needs to add the zip-down bottom extension or make the item a few cm "deeper". Both lenses were at 150 and zoom locked (physically shortest) when in the bag.

I've been a big fan of the digital holster series and the 150 finally gives me an option for my 200-500 Nikon. It doesn't offer the zip out extension for the hood, but that's a minor gripe. Now I can keep both my med and long telephoto camera/lens combo at hand and well protected.

The Nikon D5 and 200-500 combo is a tough one to find a bag for. This bag is a great fit for the combo that makes lugging this to an air show so much easier. Thanks for making this bag.

It fit my D500 and 200-500 Lens perfect. Its great when you only want to carry that setup and protect it at the same time. No need to carry that camera backpack. Recommend.

Shoot Wildlife and Equestrian. Canon shooter, Gripped 7D Mark II and either 70-200 2.8 L II or Sigma 150-600 C. Went through literally half a dozen different backpacks/shoulder bags, etc. to get a simple solution to carrying my body/lens combo easily without tons of unneeded bulk. Think Tank Photo to the rescue! The Digital Holster 150 has the space no others have to suit my needs. Even tried the Digital Holster 50 V2.0 and was OK for the 70-200 but not quite there for the 150-600. This one is a perfect fit and lets me reach around the body to pull out by the lens collar, a must with a big, heavy piece of glass. Like all of my Think Tank products, this one is very well thought out and has many little hidden features that all add up to a GREAT piece of gear!

It’s not often that I find a perfect bag match, but this 150 Holster fits my gripped D850, 500mm pf (with hood extended!) like a glove. And it’s easy to quickly remove for photo opportunities, even with the LenCoat on. Most of my bags are TT / Mindshift, and they are all good, this one is absolutely perfect!
