This is definitely the nicest backpack I've ever owned. My main bags have been Airport Security 2.0's (since 2009 / recently upgraded to 3.0). When I travel, I need a little extra space for my gear as my rolling case has lenses, strobes and one dual grip mirrorless camera. Historically, I've used a shoulder photo bag which - when it has a camera, flash, laptop and accessories - can be really hard on the shoulder/back. Enter the FocusPoint 30L! This thing is not only BEAUTIFUL - it's done so with the utmost thought behind the design! There are so many places to store accessories, keys, credentials, etc. And the quality of the materials including zippers, magnetic quick clip that harnesses the bag across your chest and roller top fastener is just NEXT LEVEL. It's like something James Bond would be provided with from Q - okay, there are no weapons - but it's so cool and sleek; I could definitely see it making an appearance in a Bond film. I was a bit skeptical, but it said FF Body and (2) f/2.8 lenses. No! I tried a Nikon D850 and then a D780 and neither fit well unless laid flat, in which case you're NOT including more than one f/2.8 lens. If you stand either body upright, the prism box creates an uncomfortable lump in your back and possible damage to the body. I am NOT happy!

The FocusPoint 30L Rolltop is a fantastic travel bag. I can pack my photo gear and have plenty of room up top for a change of clothes and even my travel CPAP. My MacBook Pro rides safely in the laptop slot and in the front pocket I can store cables, charger blocks and my headphones. Love this bag and I pair it with my PressPass 20 for travel. Thinktank has the best camera bags!!

I've been a ThinkTank customer for YEARS. They are, quite simply, the best bags in the world for my traveling photographic needs. My roll-aboard has always been paired with a Yeti backpack as that was the most versatile backpack I could find however, I was never a fan of its thickness as it doesn't fit under the seat in front of me on airplanes. When I saw this new bag from ThinkTank I IMMEDIATELY bought one and it's turned out to be my new favorite bags. Slim enough to fit under the seat, it also serves to carry all my on-board accessories AND it works great as a day bag for on-the-go photography. I can't recommend this highly enough!!!

I like the fact that I can remove all the inserts and place my most used lenses and a camera in the bag. I really never use the photo inserts and use the lens cases and a small camera bag instead. Personally I think it's much more protective and secure. Granted it may take a bit more time to get stuff out but I usually anticipate the situations ahead of time and take the gear I think I will need. The only exceptions are the super telephotos which need to be on the ready and assembled. They are kept in separate bags specifically designed for them. I own Sony and Nikon gear. The main equipment I carry in this bag are spare batteries, filters and cards, Sony 2.8 16-35, Sony 2.8 24-70, Sony 2.8 70-200 and Sony 4 24-105, and Sony Camera 7R5. I also use RRS Tripods/ Monopods with ball heads light wt and medium wt as needed. Overall I really like the design and color. For traveling by air I use the Think Tank rolling backpacks
