This is a solid lens. For the price I was not expecting it to be as nice as it is. The image quality has it's own "character" and overall is pleasing. The focus ring is smooth and the aperture ring has click detents that while feel a little soft do their job. The lens cap is metal and threaded to the lens! A nice touch, and lastly; "L" mount aps-c is dead. No one in the "L" mount alliance will be making aps-c cameras so if you have a CL or one of the others the limited selection of aps-c format manual glass is pretty much limited to whats already been produced so snap up what you can.

For $73 i figured what do i have to loose to try it out. On a fuji xe4 i just can not get pver how much fun to play with this surprising old school image quality, cool looking small ,light, manuel focus lens.

I love this lens on my Nikon Z FC. It?s a manual focus lens. This lens has a lot of character and I am especially enjoying a sorta retro feel with the image quality - especially wide open and processed in black and white.

Not bad for the price. Wanted to experiment with this prime, to decide if I wanted/needed a prime of this length. Decent for the price for sure.

Bought this lens in order to have a faster 35mm option to the F4 on my Fujifilm 16-80mm zoom. Manual focus is easy to use, especially with focus peaking sid in EVF of my X-T4. Focus ring is nicely damped. Using this exclusively for stills, so I really like the clicked aperature ring, as I typically shoot in aperture priority mode. Construction feels solid. Would have given it 5 stars if it were not for the clunky, screw on lens cap. Not something you want to be fiddling with while you are out and about. This issue was solved separately with a small lens hood with a proper punch style plastic cap. The metal one could be used for storage or transport. After using this lens I went ahead an bought their 50mm F1.4 manual lens. It also has the funky screw on metal cap as well.

A great value for what the kind of street shots I do. I love the build and weight. This has become my default lens because of the focal length and the experience of using a manual lens. I rely on zone focusing so having a distance scale is of great use to me. As for sharpness, I'm not concerned about having all for corners super sharp but I usually shoot in the middle apertures so this baby is plenty sharp for me. Do some research for yourself to see what others are saying but this will be in my bag for some time to come.

I guess it's a case of getting what you pay for. Image quality is good. But the focus ring is really stiff and hard to work. And the weight is out of balance with the small camera it's designed for.

Nice little lens. Sharp, fast, light. Solidly put together. Easy to use with focus peaking on the Fuji. I highly recommend it simply for its fun factor?it brings you back to the days of manual photography. I?ll probably pick up the 50mm f1.2 soon.

works well so far, have gotten really crisp shots out of it, still figuring out how it plays and the best settings for a manual focus lens on an olympus pen epl-8. downed one star just because it can be a little fidgety when you firt attach the lens and doesn't snap right in - it kind of takes a little wiggle when you first attach it to get it into place but it is secure once attached.

This is a fantastic little budget lens that I bought more for fun than anything else. I'm impressed by the sharpness. The focusing ring is pretty well damped and with focus hinting it's easy to manually acquire focus. The clicked aperture ring is nice although I wish it were a little stiffer as I find it a little too easy to accidentally bump (although having it at the front of the lens helps make that less likely).
