The ThinkTank Backlight Sprint is a thoughtfully designed, sleek camera backpack that punches above its weight for outdoor and wildlife photographers-especially those needing to carry a long lens like a 150-600mm attached to a camera body. After using it in the field, I can confidently say this pack hits the mark for compact portability and gear protection, with just a few small tradeoffs. ?? Capacity & Layout The biggest win here is that the main compartment comfortably fits a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a 150-600mm lens attached, which is rare for a bag this low-profile. Alongside that, it still manages to accommodate a 70-200mm and 24-70mm lens without feeling overstuffed. The dividers are customizable and well-padded, giving peace of mind when hiking or traveling. ? Comfort & Build The harness system is well-constructed for its size-padded shoulder straps, a waist belt, and a ventilated back panel make it suitable for moderate treks or all-day wear. It rides high and tight to the back, which helps with stability and balance. The zippers are rugged, and the overall construction meets ThinkTank's typical high standards. ?? Access & Security Rear-panel access means added security when shooting in crowds or traveling, and you can swing the pack around on the waist belt to grab gear without setting it down. It's a feature that's especially helpful when you're trying to shoot on uneven or muddy terrain. ?? Storage & Pockets Here's where the only real downside shows up. While there are front and side compartments, they're a bit limited in space and organization. There's room for a tablet or small accessories, but the bag could really benefit from a few more dedicated internal pockets for batteries, memory cards, filters, or cables. If you pack light and use pouches, it's manageable, but it's a noticeable omission for a pack so dialed in everywhere else. ? Pros Fits 150-600mm lens attached, plus two additional lenses Excellent build quality and comfort Rear-panel access for security and field use Compact and travel-friendly ? Cons Lacking in dedicated pockets for small accessories The ThinkTank Backlight Sprint is a near-perfect solution for minimalist shooters with long glass. It's light, rugged, and efficient-but if you carry a lot of small accessories, you might find yourself wishing for just one more zippered pocket. Still, for photographers who prioritize lens space and mobility, it's one of the best packs in its class.

Amazing lightweight backpack that fits a ton of gear for its size. Holds my camera body, Sony 200-600 lens, gimbal head, and mono pod. Still room inside for another camera body and/or smaller lens.

I have several larger Think Tank bags, 5 to be exact. Often I need to carry a lot of equipment on Safari or long trips, and it adds up to 30 or so pounds. I prefer for personal trips to travel lighter with two bodies and three lenses max. This smaller pack is better sized and also looks less like a camera bag for urban use.

I have a larger version of this pack, but I now prefer smaller. Why? Because this small pack can carry everything I really use. Right now it has one camera with a 14-24 zoom, a fixed 43mm camera and some extra batteries. I don't like changing lenses. If I were taking the larger bag, I would add the kitchen sink. I still love the access to the inside of the bag without having to put the pack down. I find it's easier to access than a shoulder bag. It has been a surprise to me how often I use it. Thank you Think Tank for inventing this size.

This camera bag is nearly perfect for carrying a mirrorless camera along with the essential holy trinity of lenses, accessories, spare batteries, remote, and filters. The main compartment is spacious and well-designed, easily accommodating all necessary gear. The back pocket is a standout feature, generously sized to even fit a 'Gore'-style coat. It's also very comfortable with great straps and waist belt, and easy to carry, making it ideal for short/medium day hikes and city exploration. However, the top pocket falls short of expectations. It's disappointingly small and lacks versatility. A redesign to make it expandable or capable of holding snacks, car keys, and sunglasses would greatly enhance its utility. One crucial downside is the bag's leakiness in rainy conditions, necessitating the use of a rain cover at all times, in anything other than a quick shower. Shame is isn't built into the bag. Overall, while this bag excels in most respects, its design flaws in the top pocket and water resistance hold it back from being truly exceptional.

Ce sac est devenu mon sac préféré. Malgré sa petite taille, on peut mettre beaucoup de choses dedans. Son poids léger est un super plus.

This bag is the perfect size for when I need more than a couple of lenses, but don't want all of them! Typical high quality bag that I love about Think Tank bags (have three now)

This is perfect for me. It's not to big or small and it is lightweight. Needed a safer way to carry around my wildlife setup when not shooting. Fits my D7500 and 150-600mm perfectly. I love that I do not have to remove lens from camera. Also room for another lens or 2 and a flash. Extremely happy with this purchase. My 2nd think tank camera bag and I love them both. I purchased the Montane Green.

Fits a lot of gear, long lens, etc., without being too bulky. It sits comfortably on your back without getting in the way.
