More convenient than a camera bag or camera backpack. I wear my crossover my shoulder and it sits perfectly off my hip making it easy to access my camera. Lightweight too even with my camera & 400mm lens inside. Easier on my back

This item is a God-send! It accommodates not only the larger lenses BUT also the larger full bodies. Well designed and constructed. Great job Team!

I have a new e-bike and can ride the back roads where I cars can't go. I am an avid bird photographer. I have a dedicated belt to the holster that holds my Nikon Z9 and lens arrangement that fits nicely (16 inches in total length). Easy access to the camera and safely attached to me.

This bag is reasonably well made. However, it would have been nice if their was a decent pocket for keys and a phone.

I have the Digital Holsters 10 V2.0 and 20 V2.0. This 50 V2.0 is just as convenient, and holds my Olympus OM-D E-M1X with 300 f/4 IS PRO lens perfectly. With the pop-down extension I can leave the lens hood extended; with the lens hood collapsed the extension can be collapsed.

I have a GFX 100s with a 100mm-200mm lens (with lens foot) and was looking for a decent carry/storage bag when the lens was mounted on the camera. Tried the DH30, which fit, but too tight around the camera. Got the 50 V2 and it works great, even with the lens foot attached. Found it best to rotate the camera 90 degrees when placing in the bag which accommodates the lens foot better. Could not be happier.

So far so good. Lens and gripped body fit perfectly. All the small pockets and things work well with all of the other items I bring with me on a regular basis. I use it with a 7D Mkii and 70-200 WITH lens hood. Great build quality all around!

My Pentax K-1 ii with battery grip and a HD D FA? 70-200mm F2.8 lens on it fit well in holster. Hood either removed or reversed. No extension needed.

This holster fits my Nikon D500 with my 16-80 and SB700 flash or the D500 with my Nikon 80-400 hood reversed or D500 and Nikon 80-400 hood in shooting position with the case extension. I can also use the side straps (I think these straps are intended to hold an extra case?) to either hold my tripod or monopod. The monopod is approx 24in long; it is a tripod leg plus the center post. I'm very happy with that bonus.

I bought this bag as it seemed to be the only one likely to fit my set up. I couldn’t of bought a better bag. I use the new Canon 90D with battery grip. And the Canon 100-400 mkii with a 1.4 extender fitted. It fits perfectly into the bag with the lens cover in travel mode. But unzip the holsters unique zipper at the front and it now fits perfectly with the hood in place. No need to keep refitting the lens hood each time you want to use it. I am so happy with it, plenty of pockets for those extra cards, lens cap stowage etc etc And what’s more, because I now have the perfect travel case I use it for going out on the E scooter or by bicycle.

I had a bag that fit all my camera gear. I had another that fit a few lenses, but I wanted one that would protect my camera when I wasn’t shooting and this fits my Nikon D850 like a glove With either the 24-70mm lens or the 70-200 f2.8 with the leans hood all ready and set for shooting. It should have been the first camera bag I got for my new camera. I love it and feel safe in crowds knowing it won’t get scratched in this bag. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bag to keep the camera safe while still letting you pull it out and shoot at a moment’s notice.

Ordered this because I needed something more than my neoprene cover for transporting and storing my rig intact. When I don't use the "pop-down", it's the PERFECT size for my K3-II, with the battery grip and Tamron 70-200mm (w/ hood reversed), just like they said. Using the pop-down, I can fit my rig with a Sigma 150-500mm (hood reversed) perfectly, again, just as advertised. Love the durable nylon outer layer, enclosed rain cover and other zipper/velcro panels and attachments to fit/attach things. On the downside: I do wish it had more padding at the long end of the snout; I shoved an extra square pad I had from an old Sigma lens case in there, which solved the issue for me, but that's really a design thing that a company like Think Tank should be out in from of when they're making a protective case. Other than that, since I rarely remove my long lenses, this perfect to store them, carry them out to the car and transport my rig safely. Not useful as a "holster" out in the field, but that's more due to the clumsiness of DSLR's mated to long lenses, not the case itself; the shorter models for shorter lenses should probably be fine for that, given the shared, generous dimensions with this case up around the camera body. Really nice case, but as I said, for the money, a little extra padding at the end would have been MUCH appreciated. It's a keeper, though, Well done, Think Tank.

I not only use it for a very expensive camera and lens, I use it to hold large lenses when I am changing them out. I can be walking and changing out large lenses without having to stop and find a flat surface. Most importantly, it protects my investment while going from place to place.

Excellent protection for my dslr with attached 100 400 ii lens. I wear mine with the strap around my neck and holster at my side. I leave the top flap unzipped for easy and fast access to my camera.

Carry cases for the Pentax 645Z are hard to find. I bought the Think Tank Digital Holster in hopes it would fill my need. It does. It holds the 645Z with one of its large lenses attached. With the extension opened, it will hold the camera with the 400/5.6 attached.

I initially tried the Holster 30, but would have been jamming the D810 in every time I tried to use it. It kind of defeats the purpose of this long lens holster. Version 50 has more than enough room for my D810. I could add a battery pack or upgrade to a D5 or similar with ease. It's a pleasure to be able to leave the lens hood in shooting position for quick access.

This is Perfect for Canon 60D + Tamron 70-200 + Tripod Collar + Hood In Position. Also allows for future upgrade to Full Frame DSLR. Comfortable with combination of shoulder strap and Belt. Gun Belts at surplus stores are inexpensive and perfect for this application.

This holster is fantastic. Combined with a Think Tank shoulder strap and belt I can safely and comfortably carry camera, telephoto lens and various other lenses with ease. The shoulder strap and belt combo really help to spread the weight to reduce fatigue on long birding hikes. I also like the holster's protective flap that separates the camera surface from the strap to reduce potential wear and damage. I have no doubt that this will protect my camera and lenses for years to come..

Very solid product. Be aware this thing is big. I can fit my D850 (with battery grip) with the Nikor 200-500 zoom in it. Although I think it's better to leave the grip off, because it's very tight. This is perfect to attach to a SUV or ?? to transport a camera out to the field. I used it on a snowmobile in Yellowstone, perfect. Using it wiih the Nikor 70-200 2.8 is much more efficient, and a lot easier to get in and out.

It is well made and it will hold my Canon 7D Mark II with the canon 70-200mm lens attached. The camera and the Tamron 150-600mm G2 will fit without the lens hood. It is a tight fit. I would like to see Think Tank make a slightly bigger holster that will fit the camera and the Tamron 150-600mm G2 with the hood attached

This case works perfectly with my Canon 100-400 L series II IS lens with a 1.4 teleconverter and camera in place and with the lens hood attached. I use Canon SLRs which have battery grips and L brackets . (I can carry a Canon lens cover for the 1.4 teleconverter in the end of the case in front of the lens to enable me to have it available, should I wish to remove the 1.4 teleconverter.) The only accommodation I need to make for the case is to position the lens sleeve so that the tripod mount is above the lens in front of the prism. (I have a Wimberly lens plate on the lens sleeve, which also is accommodated by the case.) By being able to accommodate this entire setup, the case makes it practical to quickly put the rig into use when needed. I generally carry it in the car or on the shoulder strap that came with it, but it also can be fit onto the Think Tank utility belt. (I find that Think Tank products offer adequate protection without the excess weight and bulk of some competitive brands.)

Very well thought out and very well constructed. I use a 24-70 f/2.8, a 70-200 f/2.8 and even the new 200-500 f/5.6. All fit in one configuration or another with no problem (obviously you can't have the hood extended on the 200-500 or even reversed on the camera because it is too wide but that is a small issue for such a versatile holster). It's nice to have one holster that works well with so many different lenses. Highly recommended.

I have been using Think Tank product for a while now because of their build quality. I recently purchased the DH 50 to carry my Tamron 150 - 600 attached to a Nikon D7100 with grip. Without the lens hood, the lens does fit, though snugly. However, it does not work with the lens hood in either the ready to use, or in the reversed position. It's just too narrow for this big lens.

I've been looking for a holster bag that will fit my Canon 100-400 II with the 7D II body. This combination is light weight and great for long walks, but carrying any rig gets awkward after a while. I've always liked holster bags on a waist belt and I wanted to find a bag that fits the 100-400 with the hood in place for quick draw. This bag does that, although it's a snug fit. Removing the rain cover from its side pouch gave just enough extra room for the tripod foot. It wouldn't fit a body with a battery grip. The bag is very well-made with pockets for extra batteries and cards. And I'm sure it will stretch a little with the use it will get, like a good pair of boots.

I use 2 holsters (digi 40&50) mounted on a pro belt to carry a 1D mk2 with 2.8 70-200 IS and a 5D with a 2.8 24-70 II. I also use a lens drop pocket for my 430EX II flash, spare batteries and lens cleaning stuff. I like: Both camera are mounted and ready to shoot. Holsters can be moved fwd and back on the belt to reposition them. I use a BR double strap system. The straps can be clipped to both camera at all time. The lid can also be zipped up with the straps still attached to the cameras. If adjusted properly, the double strap system will take some of the load off the belt. Rain cover is great for those long shooting days outside. The little business card pocket is a nice to have when I get approached by a potential client. Limitations: It makes for a wide setup. When you get into a crowd or inside you quickly get bumped or bump someone or someting. Rotating the bags backward helps but the weight balance on the belt becomes really unpleasant. Improving the system: My camera setup is not light and the weight is felt on the hips. A harness is probably the solution to take the weight off but then I loose the advantage of the BR straps. Combination of a harness and integrated straps would be great. I’m pushing, but a back pocket should also be available to clip on the harness to carry a 2 litter hydration pouch. Overall I am really happy with this system. It’s great for those walkabout photos days.

Not bad. However I find the 'pop down' zip concept annoying. My D3s and D3x bodies fit fine but the 7-200 f2.8 with hood gets snagged in the creases all the time, making 'quick draw' shooting all but impossible. Frustrating! Also, a quick release closure which could be used while the zips were open just to hold the lid closed would be useful.
