Questions & Answers

Shopper : Would this bag hold a Sony A7III with Sony 200-600mm attached?
HANH T : Is it fix for SIGMA 150-600 lense?JAMES L : Easily!JOANN I : Yes it would work for the Sigma attached to a camera body. Also extra room for additional items.MANUEL F : yesWILLIAM S : It will probably work, but I can't be sure as I don't have this lens.
ROBERT H : will it hold a 6D with a batterry grip and a 70/200 2.8?ROBERT H : Wow, it would seem that the ayes have it. I appreciate the feedback. I'm going to get it and finally I can feel comfortable taking my stuff out of the house! I used to use a Think Tank Holster, but getting more equipment out in the field is going to be a wonderful experience. Bags have certainly gotten better over the past few years!STEVEN W : I don't know the 6D. All I can say is that my 1D mkIV with mounted 300mm f2.8 and 1.4x extender fits snugly into one side and across the top, leaving compartments on the other side for 2-3 small individual lenses and a Pentax camera body I use.JOANN I : Yes with plenty of room to spare. It is designed for a 300mm F2.8 lens with body attached.CHARLES W : No Problem! I use mine to carry a single 500mm F/4 with the lens hood inverted.THOMAS D : hi, I returned it... though I believe it will easily take that combo. I went with the streetwalker pro, and I highly recommend it TomDALE C : Hi, I think it should, I say that because I bought the glass taxi for a 500mm plus camera and it didn't fit. I reordered a glass limo and my camera 5d plus 1.4 extender with 500mm goes in that one. The 70-200 is shorter and with a battery grip I think it should fit. I love the glass limo thanksLaura H : I'm overseas and won't have access to the bag until March 2014. :( The length should be good... the battery grip has me wondering however...?? Check dimensions of the zipped top area... that'll be the area in question.BRUCE S : Yes, . . with room to spare!STEVE A : I use this bag to hold a Canon 7D, or a Canon 60D with battery grips and 70-200mm lens attached. Plus, it's big enough to carry an extra lens alongside the camera. You just have to move around the Velcro dividers to suit your purpose. I also bought the small Think Tank bag that attaches to the outside, to carry filters, batteries, cleaning kit, etc. This bag is very well made, very durable, and worth every penny. TIMOTHY W : Yes, I use it to hold a Nikon D700 and my 70-200mm f2.8 lens. The battery grip on the D700 also fit but I need to remove the GPS from the hot shoe. It is a great smaller pack that I downsized to.SCOTT B : Yes. It will hold a 6D with a battery grip and a 70-200 2.8 both mounted to the camera body. Lots of room in this bag without bulk of larger bags. I've had mine for a few years and have not had a single problem with it. Strong zippers which are a must. Have filled it to the max and the top handle and shoulder straps are strong can handle all of the weight.WAYNE W : I'm not sure about a 6D but my 60D would not fit with the battery grip installed. Which is why I gave the think tank to my son and ended up with a Vivitar large sling pack that will take the 60D with grip and zoom lens installed.WILLIAM R : Yes, as it holds a 5d3 w/ grip & 70-200 2.8 along w/ a 24-70 2.8 & flash. You just need to invert the lens hood on the 70-200.GRETA T : Certainly and you will have plenty of room to spare for some other stuff. I have put my Canon 1Dx and 70-200mm 2.8 lens with no problem, and speedlite 580EXll. you just have to reconfigure the padding but no big deal. I hope this will help you make the right decision.CHAD W : easily

Love it, just love it.

No matter what some of the photo gurus tell you, a backpack does not make you a goober. So, you carry more than two pieces of glass, this does not make you a goober. I am on and off planes, trains and buses here in Europe and my Glass Taxi takes it all in stride. The shoulder strap makes it even more versatile. More than enough Velcro inserts to configure it a dozen+ ways. Comfortable--you won't know it's on your back. As usual, Adorama had it delivered to my hotel in Miami spot on dur...

Good protection

By Littlepots

Provides great protection for the 500mm as it bounces around the storage area of a Cessna 207!

The Think Tank Photo Glass Taxi is a modular convertible backpack/ shoulder bag that will hold large lenses or a camera system. Holds up to a 500 f/4 lens, 300 f/2.8 lens with SLR attached, or SLR with 70-200 attached with hood in position.

Think Tank 190 Glass Taxi, Backpack, Large Lenses Features

  • Part of the Think Tank Photo modular system: The Think Tank Photo modular system allows you to pick and choose exactly what items you need. Each piece of camera equipment is fitted into its own bag. When leaving for a shoot, select and carry only what items you need
  • Can be used as a shoulder bag: The Glass Taxi is so small, few people will realize that it will hold up to a 500 f4 lens. It comes with the Curved Comfort shoulder strap, allowing it to be carried as a shoulder bag
  • Can be used as a backpack: The Glass Taxi also has mid-weight shoulder straps for when you want to carry it as a backpack. While wearing the backpack, its small "look" disguises its function as a photo backpack
  • Holds up to a 500mm f/4 lens: The Think Tank Photo Glass Taxi will hold a 500 f/4 lens. The zipper sliders are "self locking" to prevent the front flap from opening accidentally, as well as a mesh pocket on the inside flap
  • Foam Collar for large glass: There is a Foam Collar that attaches via hook and loop to the back of the case that can be securely attached to a large lens. This secures the lens in the case and prevents it from wobbling back and forth
  • Foam Ring for smaller hoods: The Foam Ring in the bottom is for lenses with smaller hoods, such as a 300 f/2.8. This extra foam pad, which is removable, securely positions the lens in the bottom of the bag
  • Holds pro size SLR: This is one of the only backpacks that will hold a pro-size SLR with a 70-200 attached with a lens hood in position, as well as providing additional room for three other lenses
  • Holds a 300 mm f/2.8 with SLR: The Glass Taxi can also hold some lenses like a 300 f/2.8 with a pro-size SLR attached. It is best to use both the Foam Collar and the Foam Ring to secure it in position
  • Pro Speed Belt can be attached: The Pro Speed belt can be attached to the Glass Taxi by putting it under the hook and loop flap on the bottom of the bag. Modulus components can be attached to the belt during use
  • Pro Speed Belt can removed: This is a really cool feature. While wearing the backpack and the belt, the backpack can be removed by disconnecting the hook and loop flap and pulling up on the backpack, leaving your belt and Modulus components on your waist
  • Front rail can hold Modulus components: On the front of the Glass Taxi is a "rail" that allows attachment of Modulus components, such as the Chimp Cage, that will hold an SLR or other items
  • Monopod attachment: Stretch pockets on both sides allow for items such as a monopod to be attached to the side of the bag. Straps are included that will allow you to do this
  • Tripod attachment: The Glass Taxi will also hold medium-sized tripods, such as a carbon fiber. Straps and instructions are included
  • Tuck away shoulder harness: The shoulder straps can be disconnected from the lower D rings and tucked behind the back pad. This is useful when it is being used as a shoulder bag
  • Raincover included: A seam-sealed raincover is included that has a pop-out section that will go over Modulus component that is attached to the front rail
  • Business card holder: The very important business card holder is located under the padded handle for easy identification. It can also be used to carry extra business cards
  • Inside mesh pocket: The inside mesh pocket can be used for small accessories, such as the Think Tank Photo Pixel Pocket Rocket, lens caps, lens cloth and more
