The flash pocket is too much and in the way. I would get the one without the flash.

Used to keep rain and snow off. Difficult and fiddly to setup. It gives great protection and is rugged and durable. On the not so great side: The lens portion, even with the use of a cinch strap is very difficult to use with short barrel lens, such as a 17-35 mm on a pro level DSLR since it tends to fall over the front of the lens no matter the fiddling and rearrangement. The better use is with long barrel telephotos, which is the intended design. With a short barrel lens on a large (pro level) DSLR, the LCD view window is hard to line up and keep that way. I found that I needed to move the body of the jacket up to manipulate the controls, which somewhat defeats the point. While I give this a 'Yes, would recommend to a friend'; only with long barrel lenses.

I HATE and try to avoid working in the rain as much as possible! But when I do have to weather the elements, I count on this cover. I find this, and all Think Tank products, to have a lot of details thought out for working professionals. There are pockets to store items that may not be used such as the eyepiece, installed camera strap, flash dome, etc,. I have used this with and without an attached strobe. I also have their cover for my 400 2.8 and it keeps all the goodies dry. Be sure to purchase the optional eyepiece for your specific camera body. It will help to seal out moisture. The instructions suggest to store the original camera eyepiece in the storage pocket. Instead, I reinstall the original Nikon eyepiece onto the Think Tank eyepiece. This seals the camera, you'll see when you closely inspect the Think Tank eyepiece (it's just an open spacer) and keeps me from losing the original eyepiece. One additional suggestion I learned from past experience, do not store the cover for long periods of time in the supplied bag. The clear panels will fog. Instead, I now store my covers hanging in a closet. I use the supplied bag to store the covers in when I travel. Good shooting and stay dry!

Great camera protection for those outdoor sporting events that must be covered. I always carry this cover in my bag to be ready for those pop-up showers.

Fantastic protection, purchased it after I lost a camera due to poor rain protection of the cheap plastic ones. With the ThinkTank I shot two weeks ago in full heavy rain and the camera was abs dry the whole time

My use of Hydrophobia 70-200 is for sailboat regattas, and lately I used this exellent cover in a very bad sea and wind conditions, shooting aboard of a fast raft. That day I received a large amount of salt water all over my body and obviously on my Nikon D700 with my valuable 70-200. My only problem was to wipe off the water from the frontal filter. At the end of the day, my gear was perfectly dry. Think Tank Hydrophobia 70-200, worths every dollar it costs. No CONS at all.

Sized for a pro size DSLR with a hot-shoe mounted flash and up to a 70-200 f2.8 lens attached. The Hydrophobia® Flash 70-200 features a clear flash tower, whichcan be collapsed when a flash is not attached to the DSLR. It protects valuable photo equipment from the elements during active use. Keep shooting in the rain, snow or blowing sand. The Hydrophobia gives you peace of mind that you can capture the moment in almost any weather!
