I purchased this bag to carry 2 Nikon D750s - one attached to 70-200 2.8 and the other attached to either a 35mm 1.4 or a 85mm 1.4 along with a couple of speedlights and a few triggers and receivers. This I need to shoot outdoor portrait sessions in wooded areas where carrying a roller bag is difficult. To my surprise, I was able to fit all the 3 lenses as well as a 95mm 2.8 macro and a 16-35mm f4 with a total of 4 speedlights. You can definitely fit all these gears and throw in a few filters and a L bracket in the side pockets but you cannot carry the bag with all these gear for long. The padded shoulder strap is great but there's a limit to the weight that you can carry and walk. You can buy a backpack but the footprint of this bag is much smaller than a backpack that can carry so much gear. Extremely satisfied for the purpose I bought the bag. Added advantage is it can be stowed under airline seat and so may not be considered as an added baggage.

I like the ability to arrange the bag to fit your varied needs regarding the equipment you need for a particular shooting assignment. It as numerous pockets to add additional accessory items you might require. The bag balances well on your shoulder even with relatively heavy load.. Great for airline travel as it's considered a personal item and does not count as a second carry-on item

The Think Tank Photo Retrospective 40 Shoulder Bag (Blue Slate) is a soft-sided camera bag with a simple design on the outside and a lot of storage capacity on the inside. It is capable of carrying up to two full-frame DSLRs plus three to six lenses, with dedicated slot for most 15" laptops.
To conceal your expensive photo equipment, the outside of the bag was specially designed with a minimalist, distraction-free approach - when you want to blend in rather than stick out in a crowd. Even the front flap, with its hook & loop fasteners, have "sound silencers" built-in, to reduce the loud ripping noise usually attributed to hook & loop when opening a bag.
The two front pockets carry the main part of your gear: up to two DSLR camera bodies. Within the main compartment is an organizer pocket for pens, a note pad, batteries, or other small tools and accessories. A soft, adjustable shoulder strap ensures you can wear the bag for extended periods of time and the seam-sealed rain cover provides protection against the elements.
