I Expected Awesome, and It Exceeds That

I'm biased, I own mostly Think Tank bags and cases because of their extreme high quality. So I did expect this lens changer to be made well and work well for shooting weddings, but I'd say I finally found the perfect "during the event" bag. Here's why: My favorite trio is 16-35mm, 50mm/1.2 and 70-200mm/2.8, and I ALWAYS shoot with lens hoods on, even indoors. So I needed an on-the-go lens bag that can handle the 70-200mm and 16-35mm WITH HOODS ON. I didn't expect this bag to be big enough, but it is! ThinkTank made one pocket wider than the other, and the wide pocket allows me to slip in the 16-35mm with that wide petal hood attached, and it fits quite nicely, not too tight. I'm still amazed. The other pocket takes the 70-200mm/2.8 IS II with hood on, and get this, even with the tripod collar still attached! I like keeping the collar on, it acts as a handle and I'm used to it with my larger hands. If you remove the collar then you will definitely have enough room of course. In fact, I have a Wimberley P20 plate permanently attached to the collar (to use with my Arca-Swiss ball head), and even with the plate installed, it fits in the locket of the bag, snugly. What a perfect bag for wedding/event shooting. You might wonder if the 70-200mm needs to have the hood reversed to fit, and the answer is that with the hood reversed, yes, it fits all the way down inside. But during the last wedding I was sliding it in with hood in normal position, and while the lens stuck up a little above the bag, I could still throw the flap over it, and it was NOT in the way. For the life of me I don't know why I didn't get this bag sooner. I know that the ladies prefer the stylish ShootSacs and they are nice looking bags for the ladies, but for a husky guy like me, I want sleek black canvas that doesn't look like a purse, and this is it. Oh, and the strap is the usual uber-comfortable ThinkTank style, and it is definitely long enough to keep the bag hanging down low where I like it.

The Think Tank Retrospective Lens Changer 2-BK- Two Lens Bag features simple exterior, allowing photographers to inconspicuously blend into their shooting environment. The Retrospective Lens Changer 2 has two separated lens compartments for rapid access and easier storage. Both compartments can accommodate a 70-200 f2.8 with its lens hood reversed. Opening the zippered pocket on the back of the Retrospective Lens Changer 2 reveals a built-in organizer for pens, spare batteries, memory cards and other sundries.

A small accessory pocket with a hook-and-loop enclosure is located on the front of one of the lens compartments. This a convenient place for lens caps, a cleaning cloth, or a Pixel Pocket Rocket memory card wallet. A carrying handle is conveniently placed at the top of the Retrospective Lens Changer 2 so you can easily grab the bag when you're ready to go. The seam-sealed rain cover for the Retrospective Lens Changer 2 is specially designed to keep the integrated shoulder strap exposed while protecting your valuable photo gear from the elements. A fully adjustable, canvas strap is integrated into each Retrospective bag. For extra comfort, a breathable cushioned pad slides along the strap for optimum positioning.

Sections of non-slip material on the pad helps keep the entire strap on your shoulder. The "sound silencers" underneath the main flap are used to suppress the loud tearing sound hook-and-loop makes while opening and closing the bag. Simply release the sound silencer panels and cover the hook-and-loop strips to prevent the hook-and-loop from contacting. A clear business card pocket, for identification and spare cards, is also located under the main flap. Hook-and-loop panels securely fastens the main flap down, keeping valuable photo equipment hidden from view.
