Antonio C : Is this adapter the one I need to use 2" eyepiece in SCT Celestron 9.25"?MICHAEL O : This adapter has standard SCT threads which will attach to any Celestron or Meade, 8 to 10 inch telescope. I use this on my 9.25 to place a camera with a 2" t-adapter straight into the optical path. A 2" eyepiece can be used directly, a 1.25" eyepiece inserted into a 2" adapter or a 2" diagonal with a 2" eyepiece. This part also places a camera the correct distance from a .63 reducer to a camera image plane with the .63 reducer screwed directly to the telescope and the long adapter screwed onto the back of the .63 reducer.John E : I have a 9.25" Celestron SCT and yes, this adapter screws on the back of the telescope allowing you to insert any 2" eyepiece or diagonal mirror.ANDREW R : This unit allows Schmidt-Cassegrain scopes to use 2" eyepieces, diagonals, and other accessories
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?JERELYN R : Replacing a Meade adapter because it is two pieces and the weight of my TelVue eyepieces would cause it to unscrew if I tried to rotate the eyepiece to the left for easier viewing for children or convenience. Rotating to the right wasn't a problem since the weight was trying to tighten the threaded ring. Also it used two thumb screws to hold the diagonal in place but it would still slip either direction with the weight of a TelVue eyepiece when off center.
