Apollo's are not the cheapest, but worth every penny. Excellent sonic and build quality. Here's a small detail: This is the first interface I'm using that doesn't send a power spike to the speakers when turning it on or off. Also, when you register it, you get a great intro UAD plug-in deal. 3 plug ins for $399 vs. $699. I purchased the Lexicon 480L, the Lexicon 224 and the Tube Tech CL-1B. Just like the originals. Fantastic! Make sure you look at the list of processing percentages before buying. For example, one 480L uses already 60% of one processing chip.

Using it as a remote control to the x8P. Both are amazing and can completely replace an outboard mixer as a front end to Pro Tools or any DAW. Having the big knob makes it more comfortable for engineers to control the session and even ride gain during recordings. Worth checking out!

Great Clean clear- The uad plugins on the in- outstanding. I am about to record a cd and have it mixed professionally- but just want a clean clear sound with some preamp upping and mild color-this is the ticket- also the mixing and mastering with this is great- works great with Studio one/pro version. I bought two great preamps capi vp-28 and a solo 610. And both are creating noise- possibly due to my solar set up- been buying all this stuff to try to clean em up- ups-dehum devices- power conditioner. But no solution yet. But these uad plugin preamps are just as good to my ears- and up the floor like I want so the mixer and masterer as some fullness to play with. Had a presonus - but this is night and day- compared to that as far as sound quality- and the preamps in the channels them selfs great! It's a good choice!
