Explore the advanced capabilities of the EdgeSwitch 8-Port 150W Managed PoE+ Gigabit Switch with SFP, a high-performance product from Ubiquiti Networks' EdgeMAX line. This robust, fully managed PoE+ Gigabit switch is designed to deliver reliable performance and intelligent switching, making it an ideal solution for expanding and enhancing your network.
The EdgeSwitch boasts an impressive suite of advanced Layer-2 switching features and protocols, along with Layer-3 routing capability. It comes equipped with eight Gigabit RJ45 ports, two SFP ports, and a serial console port. With a non-blocking throughput of 10 Gbps, a switching capacity of 20 Gbps, and a forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps, this switch ensures fast and efficient data transfer.
Maximizing power efficiency, the EdgeSwitch has a maximum power consumption of 150W and supports both POE+ IEEE 802.3at/af and 24V Passive PoE. This feature simplifies your infrastructure by automatically detecting 802.3af/at devices to provide them with PoE. For devices requiring 24V Passive PoE, you can manually enable this feature using the EdgeSwitch Configuration Interface.
The EdgeSwitch also offers fiber connectivity options, with two SFP ports that provide up to 1 Gbps uplinks. This feature enhances network setup flexibility, supporting both Ethernet and Fiber connections.
Designed for convenient management, the EdgeSwitch Configuration Interface allows administrators to easily configure and monitor switch features through a graphical user interface. For advanced users, a standard command-line interface (CLI) is available through the serial console port, telnet, and SSH.
The EdgeSwitch operates on a sophisticated system that offers basic switching features, PoE configuration per port, and a host of advanced features. These include MSTP/RSTP/STP, VLAN, Private VLAN, Voice VLAN, Link Aggregation, DHCP Snooping, IGMP Snooping, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1X, MAC Filtering, ACL, DiffServ, CoS, Static Routing, and DHCP Server Functionality.
Whether wall-mounted with the included brackets or placed on a desktop, the EdgeSwitch 8-Port 150W Managed PoE+ Gigabit Switch with SFP is a versatile, efficient, and powerful addition to any network environment.
