Poor design

2 problems with this device. 1 it spits out hardly any soap per squirt. It takes about 4 squirts to get the amount of soap needed to adequately wash you hands. 2) out of the box, the screw used for the battery compartment is so tight that it is almost impossible to get open. I had to get another one as I stripped the screw on the original device. Please inform the mfg to not screw them so tight!!!!!

Battery compartment screw too small

I love this design, have several, however, the screw on the bottom to change batteries is too small and easily stripped.

Sleek design, easy to clean

Love this new addition to our kitchen! We have one built in pump that we use for dish soap but love that this is automatic (especially after handling things like raw chicken, etc!). Sleek and minimal like all Umbra products.

So disappointed

I bought 3 of these as Christmas gifts. One for myself. Good thing because I could not open the battery compartment of any of the three. I contacted the company and have not heard back. I so wish the company contacted me to make this better. It would have been the better way to go.

Go classy with silver at Umbra or got to Walmart

I purchased the umbra because I saw it at a friends house. The silver at her home looks much. more classy than the black one I purchased. Additionally I saw a model at Walmart that was very similar to the black I purchased for quite a bit less.

Sensitive Sensor

This item works well, its easy to use, and it is very modern and sleek. The only complain i have is that the sensor is very sensitive so if you're cleaning the counter you may cause it to dispense soap if you dont turn it off first.

Nice motion sensor auto soap dispenser

Beautiful modern design that comes in multiple colors/finishings motion sensor automatic soap dispenser. I've only been using it for a few weeks but works well, still functioning.

Works poorly

I purchased 3 of these soap dispensers and found that it dispenses the soap very slowly! I put fresh batteries in and none of the dispensers work as should.

Umbra Otto Automatic Soap Dispenser
Otto's sleek profile, high-gloss finish, and chrome accents look great in any kitchen or bathroom. The innovative sensor pump technology automatically dispenses a fixed amount of liquid soap - not too much, not too little - helping reduce waste and saving you money on supply costs. Otto's new 8.5oz (255ml) capacity can be filled with dish soap, liquid hand soap, or hand sanitizer. The fluid level indicator window lets you see when it's time to refill and the large, top-load refill opening makes topping it up quick and easy. Operating on four AAA batteries (not included), Otto measures 3.5 x 4.5 x 10 inches (8.89 x 10.16 x 25.4 cm).

Otto's new dual LED indicators light-up when the power is on and when the battery is low; while the fluid level indicator window and large top-load opening make refilling easy and mess-free

Note: After inserting the batteries, if the blue light comes on and you hear the motor but the soap doesn't dispense, try pouring the soap into a separate container, then fill the pump with hot water (not boiling) and let sit for 5-10 minutes until cool. Put your hand in front of the motion sensor and repeat until the water starts to flow well. Now empty the water and refill the pump with soap. If you find the brand of soap you have purchased is too thick, try adding some water to thin it out. Otto Automatic Soap Pump is not recommended for use with foaming hand soaps.
