Security
In addition to the enhanced fingerprint security of Touch ID, the default passcode length is now six digits instead of four. With one million possible combinations instead of 10,000, your passcode will be even stronger. You can also enable two-factor authentication, which prompts you for a verification code when you sign in from a new browser or on a new device. This code is automatically displayed on your other Apple devices or sent to your phone, so you can quickly gain access to your account while unauthorized users are kept out.
