This laptop is absolutely amazing for everything it is intended to do, the super long battery life just comes as a nice bonus...one that is often missed out on with these thin and light gaming laptops.

Great specs. The screen is fantastic; 144hz is very much appreciated. Build quality is great, and it's nice to have a non "gamer" design. Speakers are passable--about what is expected, given the thinness. Keyboard is a bit stiff and sometimes drops inputs if the keys are not hit directly in the center; wearing it in seems to help though. Requires some fiddling with power options for throttling when on battery; not sure if that's just how Windows 10 is. Other than these few nitpicks, it's what it says on the tin--a quality, powerful, portable laptop.

The Aero 15x is a great blend of power and portability. The build is high quality and looks very professional. The laptop also stays cool underload and is not too loud.

If you're paying full I price I would recommend the Razer 15 because it has better thermals and software. But I got it at a discount for 1749 and 200 rebate card. The CPU thermal throttles under load. And the system has a lot of bugs initially till you get everything updated. Other than that its great.

Perfect laptop for working and gaming. Screen looks amazing even at 1080 (coming from macbook pro with retina). 144hz helps with gaming. Looks great and is almost as light as a macbook pro. Easy to carry around. Keyboard has a nice tactile feel to it. Cons: touchpad sucks in terms of multigestures (can be fixed by using another driver), charger is huge and weighs another 2 pounds, speaker lacks depth and bass. Overall, very happy with my purchase!

So far I been very happy with this laptop, it's fast and games look really good. One of the things I like the most is its size, because of how lite it is I have no issue taking it everywhere I go. It's a huge change from my old laptop that was so heavy it hardly left the house. Also, it doesn't scream "I'm a gamer" which has been nice when I bring it to work, I just get complements on how nice it looks. I would highly recommend it! I did alot of research before buying and knew the camera was in an odd place but honestly I can count with one hand how many times I've used a laptop camera. Also, the speakers aren't the greatest so I use my Bluetooth speaker or headphones when I play. Other than that everything else has been spot on and so far I been happy I went with the Aero 15X.

At first the laptop has some issues with keyboard and noise, but after I make a replacement, the second machine runs pretty well. Overall, it is a nice laptop.

After about a week or so of use, I'd say I'm totally happy with my purchase. I came over from having a macbook air and so far haven't regretted it yet. There's an adjustment period (and not just the obvious mac to windows adjustment). The keyboard being shifted to the left takes a little bit to get used to, but having tried the larger MSI GS65 keyboard which doesn't have the number pad, there's an adjustment there as well. As I expected, I got used to it and don't mind it at all at the moment. I use this for both gaming and music recording and so far it's been up to the task for both of those tasks. As others have mentioned, I saved the x-rite Pantone color calibration and did a fresh install of windows. Then I installed the drivers manually, but I also installed intel driver and support and the windows precision trackpad. Some of the drivers that Gigabyte recommends using aren't actually the latest ones so having Intel driver assistant there can show you some newer ones to install. The precision trackpad works much better - especially coming from a great mac trackpad. After all that which for an amateur like me was a pain, the computer is wonderful and I'm very happy I didn't shell out another 1500-2k for an (almost) equivalent macbook. Cheers and hope this helps!

Amazing laptop with great specs. I got mine on the eBay deal for almost 700$ off and it's so worth it. Hopefully this is built like a tank and will last me for years.

For years I have worked on a windows desktop and a macbook pro, and finally decided to drop the mac for a better spec'd, lower priced windows laptop. Being a gamer and a video editor, I wanted something that could handle both with ease. So far this has fit the bill nicely. Like others have mentioned, doing a fresh install of windows 10 upon arrival and installing windows precision trackpad drivers made a huge difference. Just install Smart Update from Gigabyte's website afterwards to get all of your drivers back to get your drivers back up to date. My only complaints (besides having to do what I just mentioned) is some backlight bleed in the bottom right corner. But it's only noticeable on full black screens, so I can live with it.

Upgrading from a 2011 Macbook Pro. I primarily use this computer for CAD and it renders complex project quickly and with ease unlike my previous computer. I have yet to run any demanding games but I'm confident it will handle them with little effort considering my moderate standards. I like the availability to upgrade memory and add another SSD which I will do in the future. My only complaint is the space bar gets stuck in the depressed position but still works normally in this position. The "spring back" mechanism fees very weak compared to the rest of the keys. Its not a huge deal but can be somewhat annoying due to the different in feel.

I have had a good 2 weeks to play with this laptop so far. It has exceeded my expectations. Some highlights so far. - 144mhz just blows my mind here. I did not think my games could look this good. On top of that the laptop color has been customized and helps in a great way with my graphic design and web design business. - I was told originally that this laptop was loud. However, for me it turned out to be much more quite then my current beast of a machine (PC) i had 2 120 fans on the CPU of my old beast and sounds like a vacuum cleaner this thing barely makes noise in comparison. - First time i have jumped into the world of colored keyboards was surprised at all the options available to me to customize this. At the same time I picked up a new keyboard (external) with brown switches. in comparison the laptop keys may not be to the same quality but still better then other work laptops I have had in the past. - This laptop has taken everything I have in my game library at ultra settings. Everything shy of Tomb Raider and battle Field V which I doubt it will be able to max the settings. Still saying something. - This things puts out very little heat compared to some of the other gaming laptops I have tried. It is still warm/hot to the touch. (left hand bottom) but never so much to be painful. - I tried to get 10 hours out of this thing by just browsing it did get close though at about 8.5 hours. I can get about 90 minutes with hard gaming. Some cons: - the drivers are a bit flaky in area's. I was not been able to update the latest bios from the software that was provided. it tells me the software that is downloaded for me is not compatible??? - My old Cool master Trigger keyboard does not get enough power from the USB ports and as such I had to get a different keyboard that was less power hungry. - The nvidia driver was funky from gigabyte smart update. I had to go to nvidia directly and get the latest driver that way. I understand this may be why the battery life might not be the full 10 hours. - There is some bloat on this thing. considered doing a clean install and may still later on. there are some weird issues if read in regards to doing this. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP your color profile before doing a clean install. FYI. - I am not given the option to exempt myself from giabyte telemetry. It just asks every time i reboot and i close the service/task to get rid of it. I am sure somewhere I can just stop the service, block the app in the firewall ect. Just more bloatware I do not want. - Not really a negative, but I hate Win 10. I want to go to win 7 but does not look like a driver set may be available to do that. I will be looking into a dual boot possibly for Linux, info is limited in this area for this laptop. Overall it provides more then I can ask for. i get a business laptop to do all my work on that can support photoshop, painter, video editing, etc. While at the same time play AAA game titles. When I am not gaming I can still get 6 plus hours of battery time. The laptop is light and thin unlike the BRO's out there with the thick laptops with the obnoxious color schemes and designs. I would recommend.

Excellent build quality and the laptop looks and feels premium. The machine is fast and has great battery life for a device with this much power. This laptop will be my go to machine for both power and portable needs.

Got the laptop while it was on sale. For the price, you cannot beat the price from its original price However a lot of bugs like screen freezing and the audio is out of sync. But like i said, for $, its a great laptop!

So far this laptop has exceeded my expectations. It runs the latest games great and is incredibly thin. so far my only complaint is a rattle from the fans on low speed

Pros: Great specs, beautiful screen, nice keyboard, large 94.2 wh battery, very thin bezels and sleek design Cons: Only minor issues and nitpicking, requires some software upgrades and fiddling out of the box (e.g., windows update, precision drives etc.), couple of stiff keys, light screen bleeding at the bottom Overall this has been a great buy! I was considering buying the msi gs65, razer blade or the giga byte aero 15x. Originally, I was more inclined towards them msi gs65 (razer blade is a bit expensive for me and is riddled quality control issues) but the larger battery, better build quality and ease of upgradability pushed me toward aero 15x. It handles every day task very smoothly (several chrome tabs, video play back on vlc, pdf reader, couple of other light weight programs etc.). I haven't tested any games on this yet but synthetic benchmarks for the gpu look good (~82% on userbenchmark).

I will update this review if anything goes wrong. So far this laptop has been fantastic. After reading lots of complaints about the software, the first thing I did was reinstall windows on a new Samsung 960 NVMe SSD. With this new install of windows, it has been stable and speedy. The build quality is exemplary, especially since so many gaming laptop manufacturers are using very thin aluminum pieces. The keyboard is slightly stiff, but I was still able to get used to it quickly. The number pad is nice to have. The 144 Hz screen is a treat to use. I am so happy they chose to include 3 USB type A ports instead of going all type C. Having a Full-sized SD card reader is great. The only serious con so far is that the speakers are pretty bad. I usually use headphones so it isn't much of an issue for me. Disclosure: this review was written for a $20 steam gift card in return. This will not change the content of my review.

I was hesitant to buy this laptop at first due to all of the negative reviews regarding the buggy software installed but after seeing the promo that Adorama and the manufacturer were doing this past November, I decided to pull the trigger anyways. I am about 1 week into owning the product and I am thoroughly impressed with this machine. It has a beautiful screen and a blazing fast CPU. The laptop fit all my needs for productivity and some gaming mixed in between. Keyboard takes some getting used to but overall I do like it. Backlight bleed for my unit, I am not sure if I got a good screen or just don't know enough to notice but rest assured, I am satisfied with it. Note: i did have to do a fresh install of windows and updated the drivers on my own to get it running like how I wanted it to run. Now it works like a dream.

This laptop is amazing, it boots up so fast I completely miss the windows logo splash screen. Performance is amazing and the design is much more professional than other gaming laptops I have seen. Overall great laptop, highly recommend it.

I had been looking for a computer to work/play games for a long time. The aero caught my eye and I finally took the plunge. The machine itself is gorgeous, the build quality spectacular, the specs a second to none. The only reason this does not get five stars is that the way it comes out of the box leaves a lot to be desired. It will take you a few hours to get everything right, or at least to a passable state. Gigabyte should really step up their software because it really ends up being a detriment to what could be one of the best laptops in this category.

Very nice laptop. It's quite thin and lighter than I expected for a gaming laptop. I have a Dell XPS 15 and for some reason that felt heaving. Built like a tank and the battery life was great. Haven't done much gaming on it so far but it runs Fortnite well. Two thumbs up.

Laptop packs a bunch of power in a small frame. Looks great, battery last long and a fast and beautiful display. What else can you ask? Well, a usable device when first booting it. When you boot it, screen freezes a bit to process stuff, touch pad is horrendous and general slowness. The only reason I don't give five stars is because all the driver issues. Mainly touch pad. You'll need to spend some time installing latest drivers. I recommend following Smart Update that's included as it provides both latest and stable drivers. You'll spend hours and hours updating drivers but once done, no complaints. For the touch pad specifically, install Microsoft Precision Drivers, forget the ones from Elan/Gigabyte. There's a bunch of info around on how to do it. My best experience is the Official ones form Lenovo's website for Elan touch pads. The keyboard has the arrows in a bit odd location but I think I'll get used to it. Great machine overall. Runs things smoothly so far.

Have been eyeing this for quite a while and finally got this when there was a deal. I read and watched a lot of reviews so I knew what to expect from this laptop. But the very first thing that surprised me when I held the laptop up was how thin and light this device is. And the device felt dense and it's absolutely satisfying to hold it. The device is well built with solid materials.

Recently I bought this laptop out of all the other laptops juggling between price and performance, but also the portability when it comes to travelling and gaming. I bought the Aero 15x v8 which comes with an i7-8750H and a GTX 1070 Max-Q. The Aero 15x is a delight when it comes to gaming on the go, weighing only 2kg. The design of the Aero 15x does not scream "e-sport gamer" unlike most other gaming laptops do. However when it comes to gaming on titles such as Monster Hunter World, the laptop does come fairly hot and the fans will be very loud. The other aspect I did not like about the laptop is how the Gigabyte logo on the back of the screen is illuminated and cannot be turned off. While most people talk about how awkward the web-cam is positioned, I personally don't really need the need of a webcam but overall it is a nice addition to have if I ever needed to use one.

I'll be honest i made this purchase based on the reviews. But I was not very conviced of the looks and the amount of money. I am impressed, this computer feels solid and the screen is gorgeous ( not 4K) . Who needs 4k right now ? this computer handles pressure like a champ
