Review of entire product
Very good product!! Is a little difficult to line up the computer when mounting but removes easily. Had enough power for powering lots of devices. I am very satisfied!

E-Port replicator for the win
Worked great with Latitude E6540 ... replaced a wonky WD15 [USB] docking station. I don't know why Dell is migrating away from this type. Never had any issues with these.

Love this set up!
I use this docking station at work and it is so simple and convenient. Have been using it over three years now and haven't had any major issue. Biggest thing is occasionally after docking the computer I have to reset my screen resolution and on rare occasions my mouse doesn't register. Both are simple issues to rectify. Definitely recommend and I am looking into this set up for my at home use!

excelent product!
i have a latitude E7450 and works perfect, i have a cuestion:
the back ports in the laptop are disabled when i connect it to the dock, can i enable those ports even if i dock the laptop?

Turns the screens on-and-off continuously
We now know where all lowest performing engineers at dell are sent to work on, this is totally useless! screens connect & disconnect continuously. Doesnt matter if you use Dell, Lenovo or Samsung monitors. Sometimes if you restart your computer it will work for a while. Getting frustrated and asking your IT department for a brand new computer works for a while as well, but usually within a couple of months it becomes unusable again

Probably a complete failure
Perused the support area and not one single question regarding compatibility has been answered. This must be a fairly good indication that either the product is unsupported or unsupportable.

Only 1 Display Port.
Dell E and P monitors only have 1 port so no ability to daisy chain monitors (externally). Only Replicator model with 2 Display ports (that I or the Chat contact) could find had USB2 and was ~$50 more.

Dell 1500 with window 10 has an advantage over more other systems as you dorectly tunnel in to your business from anywhere.
Vpn connectionwith a Von firewall can make a secure running that is great in th era that we are in.

USB 3.0 ports fail intermittantly
After about 18 months of usage the USB 3.0 ports begin to randomly connect and disconnect devices connected to them. Some evidence that devices used with this item were damaged by this behavior.

I bought this about 2 years ago and it does everything I expected. Plenty of ports for all my extras. I would buy it again.

Not Great for the E7440
The E7440 has a docking port that is close to the back of the laptop, to use this E-Port Replicator you have to use an additional spacer block to close the gap between the laptop and the back of the replicator. The location if the port replicator connection on the laptop being close to the edge and the lack of support on the replicator make for a loose and difficult matting of the devices. I have had to change out replicators twice to keep working. Many of my co-workers with the same computer and docking station have the same issues so we are looking for a different replicator to try out, probably not going to be a Dell.
