I've said it before about Elinchrom products and will say it again--you cannot beat Elinchrom. Superb reliability and best of all--fantastic light color and consistency. I now have seven Elinchrom lights--two Ranger A's, and 4 600 RX's and one 1200 RX. I use the Skyport system to manage these lights (seldom use more than four lights at a time--usually two or three). I LOVE MY ELINCHROM STUFF!

I have been pleased with this light. I can use it with a 4' x 6' softbox in the studio and use it with a smaller foldable softbox to take to events. When using less powerful strobes, I used to have issues with ambient light in some locations but this is powerful enough to overpower that light and give a consistent look.

I rented numerous brands of lights over the years before buying and equipping my studio fully with my own equipment. I chose Elinchrom because it is the best quality strobe lighting that exists--very consistent across power ranges, utterly reliable, a million super high quality accessories (light modifiers of every kind), and the Skyport triggering system. I unconditionally recommend Elinchrom and am the owner of now dozens of their products. I have no regrets of having made the commitment to this product line. While the quality of the photograph is a function of the quality of the photographer, it is always a good idea to use the best products you can to let the best of your vision achieve full expression.
