I have been using the monitor since 2019 and experienced no issues, but was disappointed to see that the USB-C port broke off after using it less than 10 times. LG support informed me that because the product is out of warranty my only option is to pay $700+ for the repair of the USB port as there is no LG Authorized Service Center within 50 miles of me. I with LG could help and stand behind their product for a know issues (I see others reviews) that has been reported.

My usage is probably 70/30 productivity to gaming. I was on the fence about going with curved or not so I started with the 34" curved and really enjoy it. It quickly decided the 38" was what I wanted. Currently running a dual curved monitor setup that is stacked vertically. 38" is my main and the 34" is above tilted down. I like the desktop real estate and the ability to set up default screen partitions. It also looks very sleek and I like the single stand over the dual set up I had. Also very impressed with the picture quality. I have not games yet so I can not comment on that aspect but it's great for 3D modeling/rendering and also productivity for documents, email, browsers, etc. I honestly wish I would have just stepped up to the 38" first but for the price this was a great choice.

I bought this monitor in 2020 for my home office setup for productivity. It has been a solid performer throughout its use with both the usb-c & display port inputs used daily. The styling is top notch with slim bezels & great picture quality. I would recommend using a high quality mount for a monitor of this price point.

I was very happy with the monitor till vertical purple lines appeared on the right of the display after 12 months. 3 weeks after the one year warranty ended. Very disappointing for such a costly monitor. Otherwise I enjoyed using the monitor.

I bought this to improve my WFH setup from a previous LG 34 inch ultrawide and the extra screen real estate really makes a difference, as well as the ability to split my screen and use two devices. I will say I have had some issues with the USB-C port stopping to work and transfer data, but hopefully customer service can address this issue. Overall great product and plan on sticking with LG for my monitor choices in the future.

This monitor is by far the best I have owned in my entire life. It?s definitely very good with resolution, color, features, ports, and even allowed me to eliminate my docking station. I highly recommend it and own two in my home.

I have a lot of monitors and this one is large but terrible. It is seemingly incapable of displaying light grey on a white background. It doesn't matter what picture mode you select, HDR on or off, or any of the settings (even extreme contrast/brightness adjustments). Meanwhile if I drag this same window to any of my other displays the light grey is CLEARLY visible. Now, to be clear I'm not a designer so I'm not being super picky about colour accuracy. ..but it makes it so that grid lines don't show up in many applications (for example) and separators that normal applications use to distinguish one panel from another are totally invisible. Again, on ANY OTHER SCREEN I have (even cheap ones) the light grey is perfectly visible. This monitor is trash.

I am extremely disappointed. In the past year and a half I have barely bumped the screen TWICE and have completely ruined the monitor. It didn't fall of the desk. I didn't hit I in a fit of rage. I bumped it putting my phone underneath it. It's unrealistic to have something that you work on 5 days a week that you have to treat like fine china. The picture was great and I enjoyed working on it but I needed it to last more than 16 months. If you work within arms reach of your monitor - look somewhere else.

I love my new 38" LG. I wonder why I didn't buy this screen sooner. Once you start working on a screen thissize, you can't go back to working on a smaller screen.

I bought this monitor because I am a web developer and was so excited to finally get a 38 Ultrawide Curved Monitor ! I actually was going to do a YOUTUBE Review of this monitor for fellow programmers. However, to my dismay, it arrived with a Cracked Screen. I am so upset. Today is a Saturday (6/6/2020), so their Product Return/Sales department doesn't open up again until Monday morning. I am hoping that they will resolve this situation for me very quickly. I will update my review once they send me a new and undamaged monitor. I have heard wonderful things about this monitor from friends and am very excited to work with it. Hopefully, I will have a good experience with their returns department and they will ship me a new one right away!

the monitor display itself is nice but unfortunately I can't say the same for the software especially the onscreen control software that LG uses which was probably last updated 10 years ago. Also the HDR not sure that it actually works.

Excited I found this monitor. Building a new home office and thought would be much more modern to have a single monitor that could replace dual monitors. This does more than that as I can have 3 windows open at once with is a multi-tasker's dream. I also wanted white vs black and very few options in that regard available. Love the curve to the screen as well. Easy connection to my work laptop via USB-C but other option as well. No complaints thus far and really enjoying this purchase! Built in web-cam would of been a nice option however.

Purchased this monitor to run of my Mac Book Pro 2019 to edit photos while traveling in Korea during the next year (purchased from LG in Korea). The monitor is great to say the least, great colors and fantastic real estate (screen area). I have been using the 34" cousin of this monitor for the last couple years and and glad I left it back in the US and got this new monitor to eventually ship back with my stuff.

Bought 01/19 from Amazon. My Laptop is HP Spectre 15 Inch, I7 8th Gen, GForce MX150. Use one USB-C port for monitor and charging laptop. No problems keeping laptop charged. Mostly use it for AutoCad and Windows apps. Monitor Speakers are very good.

Really great display, no doubt about that, however, I have 2 laptops and can only use 1 USB-C cable. So one of my laptops has to use HDMI which isn't as amazing as the USB-C display. Also, i have to use an external KVM in order to share a single keyboard and mouse w/ both computers, so the built in KVM is virtually useless, and switching between computers is kind of a clunky user experience. if anyone has recommendations on a USB-C 3.1 KVM switch, please leave a comment as that would be much appreciated.

I bought this monitor a few days ago and have been very happy with the screen. I think, it is taken for granted that the screen has to be awesome, so I am not going to cover that since that has blown my mind away. What I want to commend and this is totally worth every penny I paid for this monitor is the awesome 10Wx2 speakers. Good treble and superb bass. This is TV quality speakers built into the monitor. And I am using a DisplayPort (or USB-C) which also automagically drive sound output as well, so there's one less cable. Playing games on this screen sounds so amazing and immersive. I just can't praise it enough. The other point I wanted to praise is the USB-C port. It charges my 2017 MacBook Pro Escape and it also drives display and sound. Once less charger to bring back from office. I could just come home and plug the USB-C into the MacBook Pro and voila! Highly recommended!!

I've been running with six apps open and it's so very nice to be able to see to much at a glance. When working on writing my book I can have my outline, mind map, internet research, thesaurus, and writing software (Scrivener) at the same time and even many more if I need them. I am extremely pleased. I'm using this monitor with a 2018 MacBook Pro and everything has been effortless plug and play. Works right out of the box first time with no hitches.

I was very hesitant about buying this monitor (it is expensive) but now that I have it, i absolutely love it. I use it with a macbook pro 2017 and I only need one cable because the monitor charges the computer with the USB-C cable that is used to transfer the image to the monitor. Sound is good, image is great, colors are nice. Very very happy with this.

I purchased the LG the day it came out and use daily for both business and for photos/videos watching. I have yet to find any monitor at any price that beats the size and clarity. I hook up to my MacBook Pro with flawless performance.
