This combo is an amazing package by Sigma. It puts out great video in a small form factor and is Full Frame too. Used them well.

Fantastic image quality from such a small package! Heat management is great as well for a camera without a fan. I shot Fujifilm for years, and am very happy with the colors and image that come out of this camera both video and still wise.

I am taking the time to review my recent experience with Adorama. It was wonderful, I just finished trading in most of my used camera gear to upgrade for newer equipment. The staff was polite and took the time to give me a fair assessment of my equipment. I was then allowed the time to choose another camera from their vast inventory. After I chose my new equipment delivery was very quick. I would rate the whole experience as great. Am looking forward to enjoying my new camera and lens.

BEWARE! Or rather "Be Aware." I love the camera so I've given it five stars, but you should be aware that there's no charger included in the kit. They give you a few inexpensive add-ons, but no charger. Then, the proper USB charger, the Sigma BC-71, costs NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS. So that raises the cost of the kit if you want the USB charger. And you'll have to order it separately. It looks like the BC-51 (which just has a cord that goes to the wall outlet) should also work with this battery.

Video comes out very nice and pictures are decent. Very small and easy paired with small lenses and a SSD drive. For me, low light flexibility with 12bit 4K CinemaDNG raw makes up for the flaws. There's no tilt screen and the autofocus is pretty inconsistent, and the battery doesn't last very long if you're switching from a DSLR like I am. If these flaws don't affect what you need it for, I definitely recommend it.

Fantastic camera I've been looking for a small C camera to go with my ursa g2 and pocket 6kpro and so far so good. It's light Weight the batteries last an hour which is perfect for me but if you need more then thay there are a plethora of options. Image is beautiful and low light is amazing.

I great modular camera for anyone looking to build up a rig. The lack of a lilting or articulated screen and stabilization makes it a less of an everyday shooter, and almost narrows the consumer base to someone who?s intention is to put it in a rig.

I?ve always been a big fan of Sigma lenses and when I found out sigma released a Leica rangefinder style full frame mirrorless camera that can handle low light photos and videos where most other cameras don?t dare to go I knew I had to buy. This camera is so tiny I can rig it out and its barely bigger than other brands or I can leave it as is and it?s a stealthy powerhouse I haven?t been able to put it down.

This camera is a polarizing experience. On one hand, it is arguably one of the most intriguing bodies in terms of industrial design and minimalism. It is indeed well built, very customizable, and can serve many roles in both video and photo. I personally found it be a fantastic host for manual M-mount lenses without dropping dough on a Leica. After firmware 2.0 however, I have experienced an unacceptable amount of "blackouts" where the image feedback cuts out and all controls lock up until the unit is powered off. Meanwhile, the hu-11 attachment is a total crapshoot when it comes to triggering my pocket wizards -- some days it will, some days it won't. Sigma's American customer support may as well not even exists as I am constantly ghosted when inquiring about these flaws.

There are some bad reviews on YouTube, but most of those personalities don?t really shoot professional. Sigma created a super powerful cinema camera that democratizes this industry even further. There?s nothing stopping a creative person or team to produce content on par with what you see in the movies and on tv. I will relate this to how the music industry scoffed at the digital age of desktop producers. They didn?t take these bedroom albums seriously until these contributors started winning Grammys and becoming millionaires. This is what the Sigma fp/fp L is!

The one thing I regret most about the Sigma fp is that it doesn't support being powered off USB-C while in operation. The other, smaller issue is that in APS-C crop mode I've run into moire-esque sensor artifacts that probably wouldn't happen with a higher resolution. However, the relatively low sensor resolution is the price paid for the low-light performance, and that performance is great! I run this camera attached to a Blackmagic Video Assist for BRAW recording, and I'm very happy with the flexibility in post.

I’ve only had a day w/ the fp, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Aesthetically, and build-quality wise, it’s a dream. The photo / video that I’ve been shooting w/ this camera and the 45mm kit lens are stunning. I was lucky enough that FW v2.00 was released just before I received the camera. I updated the firmware immediately, and I’ve experienced zero stability issues. The UI is really smooth. The camera and it’s menus are very intuitive; a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended. Make sure to get the SmallRig cage / grip.

First the good: Love the size. Very portable and easier to take around. Although some lenses will make the camera larger, it still takes up less space in your camera bag which is a bigger deal to me than the camera’s weight itself. The low light quality is fantastic as well. The design and layout is very simple and easy to get acquainted with. No need to read a thick manual if that’s not your thing. The Bad: Feels like a beta product. You can’t run zebras and peaking at the same time. Customization is very limited. You need full customization with the amount of buttons that are available on this small camera. Multiple crashes to the point where I had to remove the battery with v1.02. Dynamic range was bad shooting .mov video. No raw preview on camera. I understand some of the fixes are supposed to be addressed with the 2.0 firmware but for almost 2k, this camera isn’t worth it. The flaws overshadow the positives.

I've been trying to love the Sigma fp, but between some technical issues with the camera and slow responses from Sigma regarding flickering black levels during 12bit 4K video capture (on firmware 1.01 where they said it's fixed), I can't recommend the camera for serious video work. Still quality is fantastic and the camera is a low-light beast. Video clip where you can see the flickering black levels issue: https://youtu.be/gAE19PptAVQ

World’s Smallest & Lightest.
With overall dimensions of 112.6×69.9×45.3mm and a body weight of 422g, battery included, the SIGMA fp is the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera*. Small enough to take along for casual use, it is a perfect camera with which to enjoy full-frame quality images in everyday snaps.
Large Heat Sink.
Designed and inspired by those used on professional cinema cameras, a large-size heat sink is mounted between the LCD and camera body. Combined with a heat dissipation coating applied to the outer surface, the SIGMA fp achieves highly effective heat dissipation. It prevents overheating at high temperatures or in long hours of use.
Full-Frame Sensor.
Equipped with a back-illuminated 35mm full-frame Bayer sensor with 24.6 effective megapixels, the SIGMA fp is capable of taking high-resolution still and moving images.
Dust & Splash-Proof Structure.
The SIGMA fp is protected with the dust- and splash-proof sealing on a total of 42 points over the camera body. When combined with a dust- and splash-proof lens, the SIGMA fp is capable of shooting in rain, sandstorms, and other challenging conditions.
Full-Time Electronic Shutter.
Shutter shock, sound, and lags: these are disadvantages of mechanical shutters. The SIGMA fp is designed to minimize them in pursuit of a system to adapt to a variety of different shooting scenes. Shooting that requires precision where even the tiniest shake is to be eliminated; shooting without ruining the ambience of the scene; and shooting with good response, without missing the perfect shot. These types of shooting will open new horizons in video creation.
Tone Control & Color Mode.
The Tone Control menu now has a manual setting option in addition to the two auto options available in previous models (Strong/Mild), which allows users to adjust the tone curve by themselves.
The SIGMA fp is also the first SIGMA camera to come with an "effect" slider in its color mode menu. It can be used to set the strength of an effect to apply in 11 levels, from -5 to +5, which enables the fine-tune of the color mode.
It has also newly introduced "TONE" and "COLOR" buttons for a quick access to the tone control and color mode menus. With these enhancd functions and a variety of operation elements, the SIGMA fp makes it simple and easy to create an image, in-camera with great details, be it still or video.
Supports Full Fledged Filmmaking.
In addition to genuine accessories designed exclusively for the SIGMA fp, the camera supports cinema camera-like user interfaces. It has solid compatibility that makes it a perfect camera that fits right into filmmaking settings.
Special Functions Comparable To Professional Cinema Cameras.
The SIGMA fp's Cine mode comes with a variety of special functions that are comparable to those of professional cinema cameras. From shutter angle display and waveform display for exposure and color information, to zebra patterning, it comes with the functions and screen displays that can be used in the same way as with conventional cinema equipment.
UI Optimized For Different Shooting Modes.
Preserving the distinctive “feels” of SIGMA cameras including dials and QS (Quick Set) buttons, the SIGMA fp has a specially designed operation system and displays for each of the Still mode and the Cine mode. At the flick of a special switch, it can move back and forth between the two modes. This presents a new shooting experience that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional cameras that are designed either for stills or videos.
