Size

I purchased in late July and it wouldn?t work after 2 months. It has been in repair and hard to get status

Broke after 2 months

I purchased this product a few years ago and was really good, but after a few weeks, it stopped charging. Went on the Sony website and it seemed to be a common problem with this device. Got in touch with sony, sent it back and in a few days, got a Sony DSC-HX 95, which is a very similar, but slightly better model. Very happy with both cameras and still use the 95 today. Haven't had any problems since.

Bad but good replacement

Bought 3 years ago. Used for youtube video's/vlogs and holiday photo's. PERFECT! Great use of all features. Easy stowaway camera. Only minus was the plastic thread for the tripod. It broke very fast. Batteries are awesome, can buy extra and use them on other like sony camera's. I would buy it again (or newer versions) Mine drowned last summer. :(

good compact camera with many features

Sony stopped making this model so I ordered one on Ebay.
It takes much clearer pictures than the Canon I returned.

Great use for hang out or hiking, awesome design and love that OCD led, it reminds me of 90's camcorder.

Modern Compact Camera

Takes great outdoor pics and zoom is very good. Indoor pics not so good even with flash. Camera is quite delicate though and when I tripped and fell holding the camera with lens extended, that was the end of the camera.

Small, handy camera.

Love all the features this camera offers for the price. I particularly like the tilt screen and the ability to tilt it up for selfies. I like experimenting with all the different functions on the dial. Always something new to try out or discover by accident! I started out with the HX50 and moved to this one because of the tilt screen. Like the pop-up flash. Don't hardly ever use the viewfinder. It's easy to charge with the supplied USB cable.

Good Price, Good Camera

I have this camera for 6 months it goes with me all the time fits in pocket and takes great photos / videos wildlife is my passion using a 7d 11 with 600mm lens is great for long distance but small birds that pop up at shorter distance this does the job well

Great camera no bigger than a wallet

Bump up the ISO, pamper the plastic tripod screw insert, and enjoy long battery life taking crispy pics with the 30X optical zoom and electronic zoom and HD video with built-in mic.

Handy Dandy

Takes great day time pictures. Does ok in mid-light, sunrise/sunset. Try taking pictures at concerts or darker sighting, not so good. Camera does extremely well with close ups of flowers and stuff. Sound quality for recording is also not so good. Location of microphone, right were you want to place your fingers is not a good location. Although many cameras are like that. So depending on what you want to do it is a great camera or look for something else. I'm going to look for something else for concerts and sound and keep this for day time.

Daytime photos, a strong YES! Dim light photos, Nope.

I am willing to give up some of the functionality for a camera that is easier to operate. (Older people will have difficulty seeing the minute labels on the camera) Otherwise, the pictures are fantastic.

Very technical for a 70 year old

Love the camera but my only dislike is not being able to upload the videos anywhere.

Small and compact with a great zoom!!!

I have the camera a while now, I always used my phone before. But the quality of picture and video on the sony camera takes pics of family gatherings etc to a whole new level. Would definitely recommend.

Superb Digital camera

I have been unable to take a still picture off a video. Let me explain, with my smartphone or my previous canon camera I would video my granddaughters during their gymnastic competition. After I downloaded to my computer, I could then save a picture off of the video. I have not be able to do this with this camera. I am very sorry I bought it

disappointed

I bought this camera for travel & it is great when it works. However, it has quickly developed an intermittent failure mode where it is unusable. Also, it lets dirt get onto its sensor (giving blob in every pic), even when kept in an almost cleanroom environment.
Apart from these 2 big problems, it would get 5 stars.
Review should have a reliability section, as we customers care about that.

Great travel camera when it works

I bought this a year ago and the door to the battery and sd card is broken and will not stay closed (only made of small cheap plastic) . other than that I have loved the cameras and features

Broken DOOR

This is a great little camera; however, Sony has not supported it well in my opinion. I have been unable to get the camera to link with either my Apple iPhone or my iMac. I am running the OS Catalina, version 10.15.3 which does not work with this camera. I purchased this camera to record videos while traveling, but now I can't the videos transferred out of the camera! Very frustrating.

Problem for Apple users

I have only taken a few shots but I do notice that when using the zoom its very lumpy does not run smooth

I definitely thing this is the perfect started camera for blogging, vlogging or YouTube!

I love the flip us screen so you can see yourself. I wish it zoomed a little better and this DID NOT come with a battery charger. I had to purchase in on amazon for $ I like how I didn’t have to pay tax for this camera. 

Definitely get this when on sale and deals are available
