The video in HD is fine. The audio is weak. Ive tried everything possible to increase volume. I gave up and bought some cheap computer speakers. Now is okay.

Our experience with the HP 27fw with audio has been that we love the crisp, clear video that it brought along with its 27-inch size. When we disconnected our adjunct speakers to connect to the monitor, we were expecting great sound. We were disappointed. (I understand that there is only so much space for speakers on the back of the monitor, and was expecting a little less quality and sound, but not that much.) We immediately reconnected our adjunct speakers. I am a HP person and will continue to use their products.

I am happy with the quality of the image but the audio level is low, even when turned up full. I read this in other reviews before I purchased this monitor but not all reviews made that comment. I don't use the audio that much and didn't want the hassle of returning the monitor. I expected better from HP.

I?m so I happy I bought these monitors. The screens are so clear and crisp. The monitors I had before I needed to wear reading glasses. With these monitors I don?t have to. It was worth every penny. Thanks HP for the dual monitors bundle and the price was the best.

Everything works great other than the speakers. You can't hear anything from them most of the time. Thank goodness I have a great headset.

This screen is on the right track with a few drawbacks. If you just barely come close to the screen or slightly bump it, it tilts or moves. It feels unstable. I like the small footprint base, but the connection to the screen needs some reinforcement. The audio speaker are lacking as it feels/sounds like the music is playing for someone behind the screen instead of the user.

Qualities of screen is good however speaker quality is very poor. Even turned up to 100% the volume is very low. If I had read a review about the quality of the volume I would not have purchased this set of monitors

Within 24 hours of plugging the monitor in, it has red dots all over the screen. I have to send it back and wait for HP to return the monitor. This has caused a delay in my new job starting.

HP always delivers quality products in my experience. The monitor itself is great and was my main reason for purchase. The speakers were a plus to try and save some desk space. Unfortunately, the sound severely underperforms. I wasn't expecting high quality sound by any means, but my phone speaker is better than this is. If you don't care about the sound so much, I highly recommend the monitor. If the speakers are important and you're expecting even decent sound, then I'd pass.

The monitor looks really, really good! But, unfortunately, the stand is flimsy and inadequate because you cannot raise the monitor vertically. The stand will let you tilt forward and backward -- which is really helpful -- but the stand does not have the ability to raise the monitor up. I liked the price point and features of the HP 27fw -- it is awesome. I would have paid $20 more for a better stand. But don't get me wrong, the monitor looks really, really good, and I am really glad about that.

There is a dark line of pixels from top to bottom of screen from day 1. It wasn't there when I first plugged it in, but started after about an hour and never went away. It's still there with another computer and different hook-up so I know it's the monitor itself.
