Need this if you want to keep your older monitor and just upgrade your tower
I bought a new Dell tower and wanted to keep my existing refurbished Dell monitor because it's so well-built and the size is perfect for my space. The Dell representative recommended it to me and I am so happy.

VGA Connectir
The HDMI to VGA adapter works as advertised but I long for the day when computer laptops return to having all of our appropriate connections built-in like they used to be. It's weird that I have to use two dongle's to get to the VGA connector.

A good piece of equipment
A very useful item which has enabled us to retain our original monitor when purchasing our new desktop. On receipt we could not quite see how it would work and some sort of instruction would have been useful (although this doesn't seem to happen with computers!). Fortunately the people who set up our new equipment knew what to do with it.

Brilliant to let me use my old monitor with a new computer
I needed to get a new desktop computer, but my old monitor was working fine. The new computer only came with an HDMI connection, and my monitor uses VGA. This adaptor connects into the back of the computer (and doesn't stick out any further at the rear), allowing me to use the old VGA cables to connect the monitor to my new PC. It works perfectly, and has saved me needlessly scrapping my old monitor!
