Stunning QHD Visuals

I bought this monitor over a month ago and tested it out before reviewing. It is an excellent monitor for both gaming and work. It has a clear image and allows you to make some adjustments as needed if you want a different image. The only downside is that it has no sound system so you will need to buy your own speakers.

Excellence Monitor

Pros: Monitor is good looking and displays images in great detail. The refresh rates and motion quality is fantastic. Controls are easy to use when calibrating monitor to desired settings.

Cons: Across many images on HP's site it shows a clear picture of all the green areas being lit up. This is not the case, even support agreed, so they sent me a replacement monitor. Still no difference in the green lights. After speaking with support again I was told the only green lighting will occur in the middle bottom area, the rest are overlays. Pardon my candor but, as you will see in photos clearly the difference.

I bought this monitor to replace one that died. What a difference! The colors and sharpness are incredible. Great for image and video editing. Great value!

Great Monitor

I bought a faster display to work with Flight Simulator 2020 and I can't see any artifacts or problems. Still need to play with the contrast. Happy with angle of view.

Ordered system. Got monitor first. Got PC weeks later. Didn't work. Called support. They had me return the PC. After many weeks got the replacement. Still didn't work. NOW they think it is the monitor. I can return and wait 3 weeks to get a monitor back. Over 2 months and still no working system. I am livid.

Dead out of the box

I cannot say enough about this monitor. I have lost some of my vision through overuse of a bad monitor. This monitor has several technical specs to save your vision over the years. It has a pixel resolution of 2560x1440?often shortened to 1440p and this is much, much better than a 4K resolution because the brightness will kill your eyes. This monitor has a low-blue light button, both contrast and brightness can be adjusted, and it has a really high refresh rate of 144 hertz? this makes a HUGE difference on your eyes as you work in the monitor for long periods of time. It also has IPS technology. This monitor rocks. I have FINALLY found a monitor for life. I hope this info helps someone. It took me a long time to find the tech specs that were essential to maintaining good vision. Best of luck!

Pinnacle of All Monitors- Sweet on Your Eyes!!!

Again There was NO information sent with the monitor on how to set up. When I called HP Tech they said you just plug bit in. I said where. He said in the back. I asked what the several buttons under the front of the screen were he said I didn't need them. so why are the there.

I am a novice pc gamer and this monitor has been the perfect size for me. The graphics are amazing and over all a great quality monitor. Hooked up easily and has been running smoothly. This monitor is always on and has stood up to daily use perfectly.

My son has wanted a gaming monitor for a while! This one was absolutely easy to hook up! The visuals are great! It was packaged really well! I have zero complaints! We have been searching for a while and this one is reasonably priced compared to others without sacrificing all the other qualities! Great Quality!

I actually use this monitor for watching hulu,listening to music and editing photos, and I am just Blown away by how amazing the picture is. I love being able to adjust the picture as well and the ambient light is perfect at night.

HP isn't know for great gaming monitors and this monitor is a good one for casual gamers. Hardcore gamers prefer a 4k monitor but this one does the trick who is looking for a better than average monitor. The refresh rate is 144hz meaning that games will look great at this refresh rate. The ever slightest refresh and be a huge advantage especially those than play shooters. The display is beautiful and it also allows me to be place vertical or horizontal. This makes a great monitor for coders. You can adjust the height of the monitor to your liking. There are physical buttons to setup the monitor and the bezels are thin. Maybe even too thin to mount a webcam. It takes display port (cord not included) or hdmi (cord included) to connect to your desktop. The drawbacks are it doesn't have hdr,speakers, usb ports and it is quite heavy for a monitor. For looks, there is a green light at the bottom of the monitor which can also be turn off. I recommend this gaming monitor for casual gamers and coders.

Great Monitor for Casual Gamers

My son had been wanting to build his own computer for a while now. We did some research and decided with this HP one. So far so good! It is looks nice. I like how thin it is and fits well on his desk.

Amazing Screwn

I absolutely love this monitor! The size is perfect! The colors are vibrant and I like that the green light on the front can be adjusted or just turned off! I also love that you can turn the screen to the portrait position! There?s nothing bad to say about it! The price is amazing for what you get!

The display on this monitor is amazing! It has a really good resolution and screen brightness, especially for the price. It works very fast too. No lagging or blurriness. I like the different preset color modes. All in all, good gaming monitor at a good price.

Great monitor!

I've been using 27inch 4k monitors for productivity and wanted to try a high refresh rate monitor for gaming - This monitor fits the purpose very well. For the price I got 27 inch, 1440p, 144hz and IPS display. The difference between 60hz and 144hz is huge! The cursor and the motion feels much smoother in this monitor compared to my 60hz display and I won't go back to the 60hz for gaming ever again :) 
I was worried about the button controls per some other reviews but it didn't bother me at all. Overall it's a great gaming monitor for such a good price.

great monitor for the price

The HP x27i 2K gaming monitor has a very sleek looking screen. The adjustability is impressive with height and seemingly any angle viewing options. The graphics are so crisp and fast, very impressive for this newbie gamer. The ambient light for night time gaming is such a nice touch too, easier on the eyes! Simply delightful!

I received this product yesterday and was presently surprised by the size and quality of the HP monitor! This is the perfect gift especially during the pandemic! The pixel quality is spot on and very crisp, definitely a gamers dream.

Perfect quality and gift this season

This is a big upgrade from my previous monitor which was getting to be quite old. The fullhd (1920x1080) resolution is so good I swear I can see the pimples on my characters faces. A very sleek design that is stylish and modern.

Absolutely gorgeous monitor! I love how streamlined and sleek this is. The image I'm getting is very crisp and clear and the monitor itself is quite large. It's light enough to be moved around at will but heavy enough not to walk away on its own. It's perfect for my needs. definitely give it a try!

Beautiful!

I got this monitor for a new set up at home for working from home, but also for gaming. I?ve always been an hp fan, but have heard their gaming monitors haven?t always been the best. 

Well seeing as I?m a noob for the most part, I decided to go for this one as it seemed well priced for the specs it gives. 

Not gonna lie, for me this was like going from driving a car being held together by bailing wire and missing a front and back bumper that overheats ever 15 miles, to driving a new Ferrari.

The color on this thing is great with the IPS display, which I was worried would wear down performance, but I could not tell (again I?m fairly new). The bevel seems a little thin to me, but that?s nothing to subtract points for. The refresh rate is great, granted I don?t have everything I need to max out at 144Hz, but it?s up there! 

Overall I think this is a great monitor for any home to have, especially beginning gamers and little more advanced ones with better technology. Great specs, amazing color and smoothness, just overall great monitor!

Great entry level+ monitor!

Absolutely the best gaming monitor we have ever owned . The screen resolution is beyond what I expected. The color is vibrant and crisp . The size is the best for full picture during playing . Love the green light aspect at the bottom! Clean and smooth lines .. absolutely the best quality!

Wow !!! Amazing

It is a decent size screen. Played 3 games on it the first night. The coloring in the screen is great and i even watched a movie on it. Its a very nice screen and also fits well on desk. Pretty heavy.
