An innovative solution for underwater photography, the 50DL 50' Underwater Housing with Dry Lock Port Mount is specifically designed for Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, and 5DS R Cameras. This high-quality housing is constructed from durable ABS-PC and Lexan, offering fundamental corrosion resistance and ensuring reliable performance under challenging conditions.

The 50DL Underwater Housing features the new Dry Lock (DL) port system, rated for depths up to 50' (15m), providing added security at the water's surface and accommodating large diameter lenses. This product includes a vacuum valve for additional protection (pump sold separately).

Designed for maximum creative control, this underwater housing provides access to all essential camera functions. The extra-large, soft touch zoom knob enhances usability, and the unique universal zoom gear system makes zoom accessible for many lenses.

The housing includes an Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead connector with a manual hotshoe for reliable electrical triggering of underwater strobes. Optional TTL circuitry can be added for automatic exposure with compatible Ikelite DS strobes.

The control symbols are laser-etched into the back of the housing, ensuring they will never fade or rub off. The quick install camera mount plate allows for easy battery or memory card access without removal.

The 50DL Underwater Housing also features a spare 1/2-20 threaded accessory port on the front for the addition of optional accessories. It comes with a balanced aluminum base and a left-hand quick release handle for easy handling (right-hand handle sold separately).

The signature open-groove design suspends the rear o-ring in a natural position, making it easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the o-ring into a channel. This housing is made in the USA and is individually inspected for fit and water pressure tested to depth.

The 50DL Underwater Housing offers near neutral buoyancy in fresh water, although actual buoyancy may vary depending on the choice of lens and port. This product is only compatible with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, and 5DS R DSLR as shipped by the manufacturer.

For strobe options, this housing supports optional Canon TTL Kit for automatic TTL exposure with compatible Ikelite DS-model Strobes. Non-Ikelite Strobes SEA&SEA, INON, and Nikonos strobes with an electrical connection can be triggered in manual exposure modes using an electrical sync cord. Older non-digital strobes featuring an ICS-5 electrical sync cord bulkhead can also be used with this system in manual exposure modes.

Please note, fiber optic only strobes are not compatible with this installation. An external strobe must be connected by electrical sync cord. Strobes with remote slave capabilities may be triggered off of a flash attached to the housing by electrical sync cord. Ikelite DS strobes support remote triggering using the Optical Slave Converter or the Water Wizard system.
