Hearing 4 oscillators on one note is incredible. Hearing a 4 note chord on this instrument is also incredible. Very high quality build. Worth every $.

Before synthesizers became the backbone of electronic music, visionaries like Uli Behringer were paving the way for the future of sound. Born into a musical family in Baden, Switzerland, Uli's early exposure to piano and his father's organ-building expertise ignited a lifelong passion for keyboards and electronics. This passion led to the creation of his first synthesizer at 17 and laid the foundation for the Behringer legacy.
The Behringer POLY D Analog 4-Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer is a modern tribute to the iconic synthesizers of the past, meticulously designed to deliver the rich and vibrant sounds that defined an era. With its 37 full-size keys, the POLY D offers a tactile and responsive playing experience, ideal for both studio recordings and live performances.
Crafted with a pure analog signal path, the POLY D boasts authentic VCO, VCF, VCA, and ladder filter designs, along with a dedicated analog triangle/square wave LFO. This allows musicians to explore a vast sonic landscape, from monophonic leads and bass lines to polyphonic chords and pads, all with the warmth and depth only analog can provide.
The POLY D's sound shaping capabilities are further enhanced by its true-to-original "D Type" circuitry, featuring matched transistors and JFETs, ultra-high precision 0.1% thin film resistors, and polyphenylene sulphide capacitors. This attention to detail ensures that every note played is imbued with professional-grade quality and clarity.
This synthesizer offers three distinct modes monophonic, polyphonic, and unison allowing for a versatile range of expressions. In monophonic mode, the POLY D shines with expressive solos and powerful bass lines. Polyphonic mode opens up the keyboard to lush harmonies and rich textures, while unison mode layers all voices for an incredibly thick and harmonically complex sound.
Equipped with four highly-flexible Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), the POLY D provides five waveforms per oscillator, enabling users to sculpt unique and innovative sounds across a six-octave range. The 24 dB Ladder Filter is the heart of the POLY D's character, offering extensive control over cutoff frequency, emphasis, and contour.
The POLY D is not just about its impressive internals; it's also designed with connectivity in mind. With 84 intuitive controls, MIDI I/O and Thru over USB/MIDI DIN, After Pressure and Velocity outputs, and various other I/O options, the POLY D integrates seamlessly into any setup, from vintage rigs to modern studios.
Embrace the past or shape the future with the Behringer POLY D Analog 4-Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring musician, the POLY D is designed to inspire and expand your musical horizons, offering a bridge between the legendary sounds of yesteryear and the innovative possibilities of today's music scene.
