As an old-school photo buff, I prefer a viewfinder to a mini-screen. The VF-2 was my trusty friend, but its optics are a bit on the weak side. The VF-4 solves this problem. It has very good optics, a generous field of view. Also, it locks in place. If you prefer a viewfinder, I think you will enjoy this product.

This bright viewfinder totally transformed my E-PL7 into a fine working camera no matter how bright the sun is outside i will most likely keep it on my camera except for the times when i need to carry my camera in my pocket.

I upgraded from the VF-2, which already was one of the best electronic viewfinders - but the VF-4 is definitely an upgrade. The image is extremely clear and large. The magnifier works well even though I wear glasses - good "eye relief" means I don't need to get really close to have a wide field of view. Plus, it has the locking feature, so won't fall off like the VF-2. I'm a happy camper.

Olympus VF-4 Electronic Viewfinder features a magnification factor of 1.48x* that is even equal to a full-sized SLR, a high-resolution 2.36-million-dot LCD display, and a 100% field of view. This viewfinder achieves high-speed response, and a display time lag of approximately 0.032 seconds. With features such as a movable tilt mechanism, eye sensor, and shoe lock mechanism, viewfinder photography is easier than ever before.
