I needed a way to trigger off camera flash with my Nikon D850. I used to have a D700 which had a built in flash trigger. Why couldn't Nikon put that technology on the D850? Answer: because they want you to pay the $1500 for off camera flash setup. This unit along with the Yongnuo RF-603N II 16-Channel Wireless Flash Trigger Kit for Nikon 10-Pin Connection, worked out of the box. I attached this unit to the hotshoe on my camera and the trigger kit to the speedlights, turn everything on and voila! Worked first time. But, not every time. Signal from base to trigger has to be unobstructed. Perfect solution for my needs. Well worth the sixty five dolls.

I switched from all Nikon gear, and couldn’t be happier with this. The price is great, and functionality is just the same as more expensive equipment.
