SE Dome

Great but a bit of a hassle to set up. If I had the space for the upgraded version with the built in umbrella effect I would. This one is much slimmer because it folds flat.

Aputure SE

I honestly don't understand reviews that say it's hard st setup. I'm in my 60's and had no problems. It has beautifuly soft light, comes with 3 defusers and a grid. Lighter Than most of the same size and is perfect for a smaller studio. Loving the Aputure SE!

Beats Waiting for the Mini II

Super easy to use. Assembly is a pain at first, but you get used to it. It's almost worth the extra $30 USD for the Mini II, but...goodluck getting one of those. My Mini II has been on backorder for six months or so. Great alternative.

Great Budget Softbox with One Compromise

Functionally, this is a fantastic softbox. It's large and provides soft lighting. The included grid helps you control the light as well. Docking one for the annoying set up time. That said, if you're not traveling much with it, just set it and forget it.

A little hard to setup at first but once done, it is a great soft box with a lot of accessories if needed, like double diffusion!
