The Elements Micron BridgePlate is one of two components that make up Elements' Micron Standard, designed to provide a non-bulky and lightweight support system for larger-sized digital cameras like the Epic, C500 and FS700. The other component is a Micron Dovetail, sold separately. The Dovetail is natively compatible with O'Connor's 1030D and 1030DS heads and with Sachtler, Cartoni, Miller and Manfrotto quick-release plates. The BridgePlate just as natively slides right onto the Dovetail. The BridgePlate accepts 15mm rods and since attachment to a tripod is by way of a Dovetail, the rods would be completely free for a follow focus, matte box and other accessories.
