This is a wonderful VA LCD display with rich colors and super deep blacks. It is perfect for productivity work, or for watching videos and films.

However, the response time on this LCD panel is not good enough for high refresh rate operation, even with overdrive in place. To make matters worse, whenever you enable freesync, the monitor disables Overdrive, turning everything into a smeary mess in video games. 

This is actually sadly a very common state with freesync monitors, so I by no means blame BenQ alone for that, but I still think it's irresponsible to put a slow VA LCD like this in what is ostensibly a gaming monitor.

Mis-aimed marketing

Absolutely amazing monitor. I strictly use it for gaming and let me tell you?the picture quality is crisp, clear, and colorful. Plenty of advanced settings for the picture you want. I will play up to 8 hours sometimes and the blue light makes it very easy on the eyes

The BenQ's EX3203R is an Elegant Curved Monitor with a Silver Colored Rear Panel.  It is certified as DisplayHDR 400. The display menu has picture-in-picture (PIP) mode, picture-by-picture (PBP) which allows you to display video from two different sources side by side and select your input source or sources.  The monitor does not have certain frills (Ex. a mini-joystick controller) that are found on gaming monitors.

However, along with a refresh rate of 144Hz (DisplayPort connection) or 120Hz with HDMI 2.0, it uses AMD FreeSync 2 adaptive sync technology which improves the handling of HDR content over the original FreeSync.  

The BenQ's EX3203R is a capable monitor for working in a Windows Environment, Viewing QHD Video content, playing mid level games and the price is reasonable.

But I love this monitor. Even though it is rated at 1440p 2k QHD, it actually has a 4k panel. However, the pixel density is too low to get a good experience with text. The color is excellent and the brightness is outstanding. The HDR is only HDR400, but is still a huge step up for me from standard 1080p SDR. There is some greying around the edges, but really only noticeable when the screen is white. There is also some funky back light issues which are well documented with this monitor. Using the light sensor will greatly reduce the problem when it's in a darker environment. These minor detractors aren't an issue for me as I'm not doing any photo editing or working with anything that needs the precision of higher end monitors.

Overall I feel that this is a fantastic value for the price.

I'm no expert

Excellent monitor. The size I needed at the resolution required. What I am really finding useful is the ability to setup 2 different laptops and switch very easily between them using the one external monitor.
