OEM battery a must

A digital camera without a spare battery is a recipe for disaster. Your battery is guaranteed to give out at a crucial shooting moment. When dealing with cameras like the Nikon Coolpix 8400 that use non-standard batteries, I have found it worthwhile to spend the extra few dollars for OEM batteries. The aftermarket products are far less reliable--why take chances?

Real battery approved by Nikon

I bought an EN-EL7 battery that was not a Nikon.It was a rip off made that was cheaper. It didn't fit in the camera. It was too snug and hard to get out. I amd totally pleased with the quality of this battery [...].
