Bought the monitor October 2022. The monitor was great when it worked, I loved it. I experienced some vertical lines on one section of the monitor not even a year into owning it. But a slight tilt fixed it. So it really wasn't an issue until it happened again a week before writing this review. Lesson learned. Once ANY issue comes up within the warranty period, get your product fixed or replaced, whatever the warranty cover even if a tilt of the monitor fixes it. You could have a lemon. Had a chat with support and their resolution was to tilt the monitor, but it didn't work. My product is out of warranty so they said they can repair it for $350 or have another party fix it. I expected this to last more than 2 years especially at its price point. I am very disappointed this monitor didnt last at least 2 years. 1 year manufacturers warranty may be too short for a monitor at this price. Not so great first impression, so I don't know if I'll purchase another LG monitor.

I bought this monitor in October, 2022 and it just died today. Backlight started strobing, image quality degraded, and it suddenly had image burn in. Started out of nowhere in the middle of my work day. I figured a $1,000+ monitor would have a decent warranty, but this one only has a 1 year warranty which is ridiculous. I talked to support who said that it would cost $350 to repair which does *not* include shipping which won't be cheap considering the size of the monitor. If for some reason you decide to buy this or any LG monitor (don't), be sure to buy the extended warranty.

So far so good. Came out of the box pretty much set up color wise. Easy assembly. No dead pixels, no egregious screen bleed. Good color spread and overall has been a solid purchase.

I love it, great and sleek, gsync, 4k, local dimming areas, sleek design w leds. Beautiful monitor w very few cons. Now for the bad, not usb c for connectivity to pc, price, and not bigger or curved. Even w the cons that arnt really cons lol, u will not be let down. Great job, bravo in the implementation of such amazing features!

This is freaking amazing, I can't even begin to describe how well it has checked off my list of requirements! No tearing, no hotspots, no ghosting, just pure clarity and enjoyment! Starfield is spectacular and really brings u into the game with this huge screen ?? Bravo LG Bravo. My only complaints are the weight! It sure is chunky but kinda makes sense w the amount of tech that went into making this beast of a monitor, and that there is not one bigger. "At least not that I found" you won't go wrong with this masterpiece ??

Got my LG 32GQ950-B Monitor a month or so ago and got it set up with my 4090 PC, PS5, and Series X - bought for 800. Absolutely fantastic screen. First, yes it's IPS, and thus black levels are in line with other IPS models, but there's absolutely no corner blooming due to its fancy polarizer, which is an absolute game changer. The downsides though, the external power brick is lame, uses a mini joystick for monitor settings, and no speakers built-in only a jack for headphones.

Fan noise to high. Best monitor ever but fan noise make it worst in the world

This is a really great gaming and working monitor. Low reflection makes my eye comfortable and still clear images. High HDR 1000, so the colors are so crisp and brilliant. Very low response time (1ms) and good 144hz frequency helps me truly enjoy 4K games. The monitor stand is easy to assemble and adjust. HDMI 2.1 connectivity is great with Xboxes. No dead cells and no complains. It would be better if this monitor has an embedded webcam and internal speakers.

Finally after years of waiting a 144Hz 4k monitor with ATW polarizer, and the picture quality is irrelevant because the tiny fan in the back is loud and always running at full speed. As in louder than the entire gaming system next to it. What were LG thinking? Returning it as defective, but I saw others on display with the same issue so probably all are affected. Please, please remake this with a heatsink or something to silence it. Fans do not belong in monitors, especially at this price, and just introduce a point of mechanical failure. Also use a less grainy coating. Other companies have done it.

Nowadays, everybody wants an OLED display, which offers great contrast ratio, meaning deep blacks and vibrant colors. The 32GQ950-B, despite being IPS, comes close to an OLED experience and has the most impressive HDR I have ever seen, which is more than you need for gamimg. It fits professional level designers as well.

It can?t change laptops since it doesn?t have a power delivery. In nowadays where we can have a powerful MacBook that can drive 4K monitors with 120+hz, it?s a shame not having the designed ports for it.

It is a decent monitor with a few glaring problems. - contrast is not good enough: in the dark you see the backlight, and black is gray - the anti reflection semi-matte coating does not do a great job - it has no USB-C input which is a shame for this price - it has no KVM functionality as well, again a shame for this price - HDR is edge lit so on complex scenes the whole backlight lights up, making you go SDR All in all I think it is overpriced.

I bought this monitor after reading and watching tons of reviews. I bought this monitor to use with my Xbox Series X and Playstation 5. The build quality is excellent, it doesn't feel cheaply built. It is smooth and very responsive so FPS games is where it shines. However a lot of the features are greyed out. I wish i could add more color especially when playing RPG style games but you cant it seems. No matter what setting you put the monitor in Gamer 1 & 2, FPS, RTS, or VIVID all the settings to tweak your picture are greyed out. Overall i like the monitor because of its smoothness and low input lag. If you are considering buying this monitor for your Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 and want a colorful picture where you can tweak how you want it to look id either wait for an update that address this or look else where.

LG has earned a reputation as one of the best display providers for gaming. I would probably embarrass myself if I tried to do a technical review, so I will say that I am happy with the performance and LG?s reputation makes me look at their brand first when it is time to upgrade. I do want to list a few pros/cons I experienced with the 32GQ950-B. Pro: - Works great w/ the current gen consoles at 4K/120. No DV support so a few checkmarks are missing, but HDR10 looks almost as good. - Headphone jack is moved to a more accessible location. I generally connect to the console?s controller for audio, so I do not have speakers on my desk. Since there are no built-in speakers, this is a convenient way for me to get sound for other sources. - Rotating display. Although this is not a unique feature, it is the reason I like using a monitor vs a TV. I still play some classic games and some of those games look and play best in ?tate? mode so I love the ability to quickly rotate the display to match. - Fast 1ms response time, excellent for fast-paced games. As far as I know the only thing that beats it is OLED. Con: - Hexagon Lighting is not as good as Sphere Lighting 2.0 from LG?s previous generation of monitors. Even as bias lighting, it just barely lights the wall near the edges of the monitor so I need a bit more ambient light in the room for eye comfort, especially if gaming w/ HDR enabled; you can?t even notice the Hexagon Lighting in the pics I took). There is also no way to control Hexagon Lighting! Sure, there are some basic options in the settings menu, but my previous LG monitor w/ Sphere Lighting had a dial to turn the light on/off and adjust the brightness. There was also an app which enabled features that match the color to the content on the screen or time the light to sound. Not perfect since it was limited to Windows and was not compatible w/ other RGB lighting, but it was quite a bit better than Hexagon Lighting. - The monitor defaults to DP v1.4 (DSC), the cable LG included in the box does not support DSC so my computer was stuck at 1080p/60Hz. Dropping it down a version enabled 4K/120. I also tried a DP cable from an older LG monitor, for some reason that one is full featured. The LG-provided DP cable also caused the screen to lose signal every few minutes (blank screen for a few seconds, then flash back to the computer image), so I am sticking with the older cable. Also not sure if it is the source, the cable, or the monitor, but DP v1.4(DSC) causes noticeable color banding. I only mention this because DSC is supposed to be "visually lossless" according to VESA. - It gets hotter than my previous LG monitor (38GN950-B). It doesn?t get as hot as modern consoles or my entry-level gaming PC, and I wish I had a FLIR camera to show the actual temp, but it is noticeable after playing at an arms length away (and the gaming devices as far away as possible). The cons take up more space, but I think they are minor detractors. Even though the OOBE wasn?t perfect and Hexagon Lighting is a downgrade from Sphere Lighting, am glad I upgraded to this versatile HDMI 2.1 monitor (9/10 or 4.5 stars if it were an option).

I bought this monitor when it is just released on LG's official website. Within 1 month of its release date, the product drop 300 USD. I contacted customer service on this, and they cannot offer any help to customers like me who bought their monitor on its released date. For product quality, the monitor sometimes has black screen issues just like other LG monitors, it is not very frequent at this moment. It's 32 edge-lit zones. It works with PS and Xbox. Overall, I think the product quality is OK. The main reason I vote one star is the bad customer experience I had. I get a sense that I was tricked into buying the monitor at its orginal price immediately when it was released. It is very unfair and unfortunate that LG does not offer any plan to their customers.

I own the 27" LGGP950-B that came out mid 2021. That was a PERFECT monitor for me and I had no issues, I saw a 32" model came out so I wanted to check it out. after just a few hours of owning this monitor I noticed many things, some items that I found disappointing in this monitor are: -**For PS5 users it WILL NOT output a 4k resolution for me as it only worked in 1080p, I tried everything and still could not get a signal over 4k. I got a signal over my PC in 4k that worked fine, but not the PS5.** I do not know if this was an issue with only my unit, but it would only output a 10809p signal when the 27" model worked just fine. -Bezels on the monitor are far too big, I normally do not care about this sort of thing but on this monitor they stuck out a lot compared to the 27" model I have. -The hexagon lighting is no where near as good as the sphere 2.0 lighting as it does not get as bright and there is no dial at the bottom for the lighting, instead it is hidden deep in the sub menus, very inconvenient.
