Just what I wanted!

This has been a fantastic monitor. I did a lot of research of similar products at this level of quality, and settled on this one because I've had such good luck with the brand over time. I hesitated about the price, but given the options in this category via the multitude of manufacturers out there, I felt it was the best option for me. I'm not a pixel peeper, so I don't bother digging too deep into the tech specs, I'm more about the experience of using it for its intended purpose. 

I am a photographer by trade, so color accuracy and image detail is all that really matters to me. There is something special about this monitor, the way it displays colors, the depth of tones and shadows and the overall feeling that everything is just right from the time I open an image to its completion as I confidently send the image off to the client. 

I appreciate the built in calibration unit, and the assurance that what I am seeing on the monitor is just as it should be.

When I first set up the monitor, it took me a bit of practice getting used to moving my line of sight to different areas of the panel because if you look at it from an angle, to area farthest from your line of sight has a slight magenta tint. You simply have to shift your head toward that end and the tint eases.

Overall, this monitor has been such a joy to work with.

In this category, it beats all other monitors hands down

Great Monitor for Photography

Great monitor; only reason why I returned was because the monitor is too low lit, too much glare for the price you pay, blacks look washed out. With today's tech I expected better; will be purchasing an HDR higher lit monitor.

Good monitor, but with today's tech not worth the money.

New Monitor

I bought this monitor because I am a photographer and needed a monitor to accurately reproduce colour and rich black and white images. This monitor does this, in spades, and has the advantage of a built in calibration tool. This guarantees accurate colours for years to come.

Photographer's Dream

I have been very satisfied with this monitor.  The color accuracy is amazing.  I am using for photography and video editing.  I also have the accessory sound bar which I also recommend.  The automatic color calibration is actually fun to watch.  A drawer on the front of the monitor opens up and the calibration sensor comes out for the test all automatically so there is no interaction with the unit when this process is running - very clever.

Top of the line choice for photographers.

My previous monitor was a 32" and I was concerned about loosing 5" of screen real estate.  In retrospect it didn't matter one bit.  The Dell UltraSharp 27 4k Premier Color monitor was a very good purchase for our Long Island based boutique organic soap and cosmetic company.  I needed an outstanding monitor to provide color accuracy for our website both in terms of photography and videography needs.  This morning offers both the Adobe and sRGB color spectrum and the colors are vivid and accurate.  Dynamic contrast, reproduction and construction are excellent.  The mat finish is helpful in reducing glare without impeding color accuracy.  Finally Dell's warrantee is one of the best in this product space.

Best photo editing monitor for the money, hands down.

Every bit as good as expected

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I have been impressed with what I have seen so far.  Being a photographer and yet a newbe to the calibration game, I was somewhat intimidated by a lot of the terminology when setting up for calibration, but now that I have put some time into understanding the calibration terminology I am very pleased with the way it has come out.  I'm sure I'll be even more impressed as time passes.

I am very pleased with this purchase. While designed for photo and video editing, it also does a great job as a high-end monitor for routine use. The design, build, and image quality are all top notch. I have not tried the color calibration tool yet, but the factory calibration seems very accurate.

Terrific Pro-Grade Monitor

Does not interface ideally with my 1 yr old Dell laptop even though I had Dell Sales confirm that the monitor would pair with the computer.   To solve this, will probably need to buy a new higher priced laptop with upgraded graphics processor.

Amazing! Worth every penny. So glad I made this purchase to edit my films. It's been a game changer with color correction and my eyes don't hurt after long periods of time spent editing. I'm so glad I did so much research and found this gem.
