Great lens!! I had a 23mm f/2 some time ago when I had an earlier version of the X-T series (X-T3), but sold it back in 2020. I should have kept it since I ended up getting an X-T4 in 2021. Finally got around to getting one of the must have lenses for the XF system. Love the IQ, sharpness, size & weight, aperture ring, and weather resistance (WR). Again, it's one of the must have lenses along with the 35mm f/2 and 50mm f/2 (and 16mm f/2.8 if you want / need wider).

i'm brand new to fujifilm cameras and i love having the aperture ring on the lens. i got the 23mm prime because i mostly take architecture shots and wanted something a little wider than the 35 or 50. only super minor gripe is that with the lens hood on, i've accidentally knocked the lens cap off a couple times; wish there was a loop i could string the cap to the camera with.

I couldn?t be happier. Small form factor perfect for street photography. Granted I?m upgrading from (what feels like an ancient) Canon 60D, but I?m just thrilled with the image quality (stills and video). It?s also seems, so far, incredibly durable, which is a must for travel photography. And I love that I can charge via USB C. No need to worry about forgetting a battery back home.

I bought this lens after using only the 35mm F2 WR for a year and while I really enjoy my 35 (and will continue to use both), I enjoy that the 23 is just a bit wider so I can capture photos where subjects are closer to me. I've also found it great for cityscapes and architecture type photography, where you need a wider lens to capture everything you truly want to.

Bought to supplement my 16-80 "kit" lens. Expected a bit more sharpness out of this compared to that. This one seems good, but not so much better than what the kit lens puts out. It is nice to have such a small lens around the house.

This lens is perfectly paired with the X-S10 being just as compact as the camera. True to it’s description, quiet focus, quick and sharp at it’s focal length. It is fixed so no zoom, but you can’t get a better wide angle lens for the price. Only downside is the filter size at 43mm, which means you need a step up ring to get at least the 62mm VND. You’ll find, however, that’s the lens world. No getting around it. At one point or another you’ll have to buy a step up ring to use a filter.

Went with this in place of the kit zoom. It’s small, well built, moderately priced and fairly fast. I’ve been digging it with the X-T4!

Incredibly crisp and a joy to bring along my X-Pro 3, took it on a camping trip in upstate NY and got mud on the lens and it kept in good shape. In the past, i would be hesitant to bring a camera in my daily life because of bulk and weight, but the lightness inspires me to street shoot again!

I cannot praise this camera enough. It will claim all your love and attention from the moment you hold it in your hands. Hands down this is the most esthetically beautiful camera in the fuji x line up.the built is strong and elegant and feel like a snug fit glove in your hands. I have used this with the xf 23 mm and the xf 55 to 200 in rain, sun and snow and the camera never dissapointed me. The xf lenses and the camera are weather sealed amd compliment each other in all scenarios. The images produces are crisp and the film simulations give a new life to your photography. The camera captures simultaneous raw and jpeg files and the jpeg fines can be programmed for upto three film simulation effects in the film simulation bracket function. The optical live viewfinder is a great help to frame shots as it displays the area outside the final frame allowing u to anticipate whats entering the frame. Having all the qualities a photographer would desire this is still a high end luxury camera.

The roughly 35mm equivalent that this lens gets on the APS-C is perfect for many styles of photography. Super quick autofocus and great small size.

Excellent image quality. Small and light. Perfect for a normal lens that is kept on the camera body. The 23 f1.4 is better for lower light.

I am very happy with this lens. Images are sharp and clear, auto-focus is precise / fast and the lens has a small profile. I like the moderately wide field of view. I use this liens on an X-T2 primarily for vacation and travel photography. I like the fact that it is weather sealed and has full manual control when desired. It also covers a wide range of both urban and rural scenes. It is a good overall general lens.

Fantastic wide angle prime
By ADAM M.
The Fujifilm 23mm f/2 WR is a fantastic wide angle prime lens that will make whatever Fuji camera you own more fun to take pictures with. I own two other Fuji lenses--the 27mm f/2.8 pancake lens and the 35mm f/2--which are both great lenses. But the 23mm f/2 WR is another thing altogether. It's FUN to shoot with, and good at its job. The field of view is WIDE--and allows you to fit foreground, midground, and background into the picture. It's fast at focusing and sharp at every f-stop. Like mo...

Perfect Lens for Family shots
By Jamie S.
This 35mm (52mm equiv) lens is the perfect combination with the XT-2. It focuses so fast and has just the right depth of field to get the face and most of the head in focus for excellent shots at f/2. I leave this on my camera when we have Family events, cookouts or a walk around town. Put the XT-2 on face detect and then frame the shot after it finds a face. You can get good head shots or back up a bit and get more context in the frame. Works well for group shots (provided you have en...

The XF23mm F2 R WR is a wide-angle lens with advanced image resolution, capable of drawing out the full performance of Fujifilm's proprietary X-Trans CMOS sensor. It has a similar size and design flair of the existing XF35mm F2 R WR, to make up a stylish collection of compact lenses. The inner-focus AF system uses a stepping motor to drive the focusing group of lens elements for silent and fast autofocus.
The metal exterior gives a sense of premium quality and robustness, and the aperture ring and focus ring have been designed for optimum operability. The lens is also weather and dust resistant and operates at temperatures as low as -10°C, making it an ideal choice for outdoor photography.
The lens consists of ten elements in six groups, including two aspherical elements. The optimum positioning of the aspherical elements ensures flatness of the image plane for edge-to-edge sharpness.
The aspherical elements are used as part of the focusing group to minimize performance fluctuations between different focal distances.
The inner-focus AF system** uses a stepping motor to drive lightweight focusing elements for silent and fast autofocus. When combined with the phase detection AF system of FUJIFILM X-Pro2 and X-T2, the lens can focus in an astonishing 0.05 seconds***.
**An AF system that moves relatively small lens elements in the middle or at the rear for focusing.
***Using an internal measurement method compliant with the CIPA Guidelines, with the High Performance mode turned on.
The lens barrel is sealed to make it weather and dust resistant, and capable of operating at temperatures as low as -10°C.
When mounted on the weather- and dust-resistant mirrorless digital cameras FUJIFILM X-Pro2, X-T1, and X-T2, you can shoot in light rain or a dusty environment with peace of mind.
This lens can be used with the vented metal hood "LH-XF35-2," which is also compatible with the XF35mmF2 R WR. Coinciding with the launch of the XF23mmF2 R WR, a silver version of the lens hood is will also be released, allowing users to choose an optional hood that matches the color of the lens.
