This is a very good mono pod if you don't want to open too much and don't want to lug around a tripod. Shame it does not have a carry strap or a bag. Its light, easy to use and extend.

Works OK but slow to operate and adjust. Good to have if you don't or can't carry a tripod.

This sturdy monopod easily supports my 4 lb binos. With bino "L" adaptor, extension is long enough to put the glasses 1" to 2" above my eye level for overhead viewing (I'm 71" tall).

Good product; sturdy. Would like a quick release attachment though.

The monopod is of good construction and is light and easy to use. It has a good ball mechanism to allow you to pivot the camera. It has a wrist star but would benefit from a shoulder strap as well. Very good Product and good value

I wanted a monopod that was 1. tall enough. I'm 6'1" and it is perfect when fully extended. 2.It opens quickly with the levers. 3.It collapses to a small size. 4. It is not wobbly. 5. And the ball head provides range of motion and positioning for the dslr camera...to complete the features. I will need to get more talented before I need anything better. This is a great item!

I use it mainly while shoting with my Canon EF 70-200L F/2.8 lens. Using it compensate the lack of the IS and enables getting sharp pictures even in lower shutter speed (gaining 1-3 stops in compare to holding the camera manually).

Saw other units at Penn the other day (costing more) that lacked a ball head.

When you have been shooting for awhile it is nice to have something to help steady your camera or yourself when using it as a walking stick. It's light weight and compact construction makes it easy to travel with.

I use this product for stabilization while taking photos on a hike (when I don't want to drag around my tripod). Its also great when photographing my childrens' sports games (soccer, baseball etc.). The ball head makes it easy to flip for vertical shots. Its sturdy & reasonably priced!

I like to avoid using flash where possible, and this monopod helps a great deal. I found it surprisingly solid for the price. No quick-release plate but it screws quickly and easily onto the camera.

Good value for the money. Nice and portable. Small enough to strap on to camera bag.

Time will tell on the sturdiness of the leg clamps; very rigid when closed = good stability.

Having a real tripod is necessary for ultra-long exposures, but this great device is compact and works wonders for shoring up an otherwise unsteady hand.

Very handy for stabilizing the camera in longer exposure times, reduces the need of a heavy tripod.

Easier then a tripod to pick up and go. I use with my medium sized point & shoot cameras.

Having never used a monopod, I wanted an inexpensive one to get a feel for the features I should eventually look for. This product seems to be well made, given the cost. My only complaint is that it's awkward to attach to the camera.

I bought the monopod to have on a outdoors trip where I didn't want to bring my tripod. The monopod works great and is quick and easy to set up.

One improvement I would like is a quick release head to leave on the camera. Screwing the monopod to the camera is not difficult, but it would be nicer with quick release, Still, this item is well worth the money!

My method for success is to hold monopod with one hand, arm straight and elbow pressed hard against body. Brace monopod against outstretched leg, to prevent sideways movement. There are times, when a tripod can't be used successfully. EG. Confined space, rocky shore lines, steep mountain slopes and uneven ground. This is where the monopod is indispensable. The Canon monopod is lightweight, sturdy and strong and also makes a great walking stick. Include it with your backpack, you won't even notice its there. Highly recommended.

The Canon Monopod 100 is a very useful tool when I don't want to carry a tripod (i.e. nature walks, sporting events, etc.).This monopod is lightweight and sturdy with a very comfortable foam covered handle. The carrying strap is adequate and well built. The ballhead is very easy to adjust and locks securely in the desired position(s). The mounting screw is made of plastic, so care must be taken not to overtighten or strip it. It's also a very good walking stick. The bronze colored leg extensions make this attractive monopod that stands out from the usual silver or black models. No, it will not replace a tripod but if used properly, you'll discover how truly useful this accessory can be! Too bad it doesn't come with a storage bag.

Great to use in lieu of a tripond when a tripod would be to big. A monopod is great to stablize your shot when using a non VR lens The canon monopod is well constructed and easy to quick and easy to use. The ball head allows you to angle your camera how ever you need to in order to get the shot.

Monopods are great for outdoor shoots.

Used correctly, a Mono pod is a great field stabilization tool . Many people don't know how to use one. Here's the scoop. The mono pod goes out in front of you at an angle of approximately 30 degrees, your camera rests against your face, for viewing and shooting, and your legs make a completed tripod stance. That's it. now enjoy your Monopod.A ball head is a must for adjustability.
