Getting used the new drive. I use a Mac but first kept it NTFS formatted and it worked OK. I then formatted it to APFS encrypted file format so that I could use Mac's Time Machine backup. The first 456GB backup took awhile but should take less on all the next ones if I keep it formatted this way. I was able to plug both APFS & NTFS drives into the front USB jacks and can read/write both - probably due to the NTFS for Mac software. Only complaint so far is it is noisy. Doing 1st backup it would chunk along which was OK but with nothing obviously happening it just gives a loud'ish clunk every x-seconds. And when my Mac goes to sleep it seems to make more noise like it is looking for the computer or something. I need to do more experimenting with it to see if I keep at 4 stars due to the noise, raise to 5 stars if I solve the noise thing, or something else. For now it more than meets my need for massive storage so that I can consolidate all my external drives.

Have just had another Seagate drive fail. Do not depend on them for long term storage.

Not a buyer, but the fact that this drive uses a USB Micro-B cable plug would worry me big-time. I’ve had only a few drives with these plug ends, and they are ill-design means that just bumping or moving the cable or drive can disconnect the signal - resulting in possible drive error. Such drive connections make this a no-go for me. Heck, I’m having enough problems keeping the USB-C plugs in their sockets...

Pretty good external hard drive. I use it, of course, for storage of large files like photos, and video. The software is so-so. Not very friendly to set up and get around. The instructions kick you to a website and they don't match what I'm seeing on my drive nor instructions.

This is a great storage device that was easy to setup. And the automatic backup routines work well. Not only can you setup the normal backup process using the Seagate software that comes with the external hard-drive but you can supplement it with the Microsoft backup process to get files that are not part of the default backup process used by the Seagate Backup software. Since this is a backup tool, it is a little slow in response time if you trying to use it as an extra hard-drive, that is why I did not give it a five star rating. The USB Hub is a nice addition to get two power source to supplement the USB connections that came with the computer. And yes, I would recommend the purchase of this 10 TB Hard-Drive.
