The Onyx Blackjack from Mackie is a 2 x 2 USB recording Interface featuring two boutique-quality Onyx preamps and high-end 24-bit/48kHz conversion in a convenient tabletop housing. The analog to digital converters offer 114dB dynamic range (A-weighted) and the preamp circuitry is aligned precisely with the conversion to always provide the best headroom and the lowest noise and distortion possible.
Latency during recording is an issue that often requires a workaround. The Blackjack puts this issue to rest once and for all, featuring a true analog monitoring path directly from the preamps to the studio monitors and headphones. This means you can track in either mono or stereo while listening to the direct analog source with zero routing. Not only that, it also means you can adjust your buffer settings to maximize your computers processing ability.
