It really does everyting!
I was hesitant to think this device could do all it claims with a simple lanc connection. But after trying it out, it does in fact do everything it advertises. I was impressed. And it even seems to have ease in and ease out on its zoom control, a real bonus! I'm using it on the new Sony Z-150 camera, but I tried it on my older Z1U Sony, which has a lanc jack, and it also does everything on that camera as well. This is a Sony product and you would expect it to perform well on Sony products...
