Do not buy unless you are a camera expert and an electrician. do not expect any support from the company. They do not have any support technicians that are helpful, nice or capable. You'll need a supervisor that doesn't exist.

Bang for the buck Zmodo is the best. {I also have a Swann system which is total garbage which was fraudulently labeled and I never got a single response after hanging on the phone for hours, numerous e-mails or any other available forum. - I tossed that Swann system.} With Zmodo my experience was way-way better. You can find instant chat support and they actually answer support lines. This DVR is quality! Set up is intuitive. (Except for the "IP Access" setting. This needs to be disabled to view cams in a browser!) You can record at D1 resolution. By-the-way 500mb is adequate for four cams. By lowering your frame rate you can increase the amount of video kept which can be automatically FIFO managed by the system. You can catch a thief at 4-10 fps. Resolution is more important!

I use the cameras just to watch over my house for my own security. I like the view and how easy it is to work.
