Many good things...a few not so great

Overall I am pleased with this lens. Good size, quality weather sealing and makes great images. Wanted this for a large aperture walk about lens with quality weather sealing and for that...the lens is really good. I rely on the Olympus/OM System weather sealing. I was a bit disappointed in sharpness wide open however. It is sharp enough, but for a pro level OM System lens...I was expecting a bit more for the quality and price of this lens. It is sharp but not bitingly so wide open. It is on par with my Olympus 25mm 1.8 at f/1.8 (I was always happy with my OLY 25mm at 1.8 so I am ok with this). I have noticed some CA issues as noted by other reviewers but nothing major. For the build quality and to have a heavily weather sealed lens that opens to 1.4...I think it is worth it. I would love the IQ of the 17 1.2 pro lens but that costs more and the size isn't preferable for me. I pair this with a OLY 12-45 f4 pro lens and it covers pretty much all my needs.
